The latest My Hero Academia episode spent 20 minutes talking:scust:

5 minutes of actual action with 20 minutes of fukking dialogue in subtitles so I couldn’t even be distracted by anything else or I wouldn’t know wtf they were doing unless I sat there and read them talk in fukking circles or cry:scust:

Just finished watching Maoyuu Mao Yuusha. It's a surprisingly informative anime. It deals with agriculture, economics, political, revolutions, and social ills. And does it in an impressive 12 episodes. I recommend it.

Find it interesting that Megalo box isn't really about...boxing. There's no emphasis on technique. No weight training. The ring count is computerized, referees are virtually obsolete. The gear enhancements are often useless because they sacrifice speed for power (which is why few can hit Joe), unless you're rich and can afford one that literally boxes for you or is grafted to your body.

So it's hard to compare it to the great boxing anime when it doesn't practice boxing, and doesn't have enough time in one cour to develop the fighters. This is an Ashyta no Joe tribute only in the sense of Joe being from the slums, working his way up to the top and probably dying in the end. His coach, the rich woman, Yuri are all templates pulled from AnJ, and half the dialogue can be pulled from AnJ too.
