Nobody liked Eyeshield 21 or the super fantastical Prince of Tennis? I think they're pretty good sports anime.

Prince of tennis is CLASSIC. I used to read the manga back in the day...finished it. even started the "new prince of tennis". the anime was sick too. i hate how they hyped up Tezuka, he was the derrick rose of the show, always busting his arm. Which team do you mess with?

Lol the Tezuka Zone and the zero shiki drop shot was unbeatable they had to have some drawback I guess. I always liked Kintaro and shytenhoji. Is New Prince of Tennis still ongoing?

shytenhouji is my fav too. I liked Chitose senri..ppl sleep on him but he's the only one apart from Tezuka to have that pinnacle technique. He used to be in Fudimine with Kippei but after kippei accidentally made him partially blind with his attack, he had to leave fudimine.

theres 20+ volumes of the new prince of tennis. the middle schoolers and high schoolers were facing each other so that they can make into the Japan team and face the world. ryoma's brother, ryoga is in it too. I swear team japan is too stacked. how do u have Yukimura, atobe, fuji, Kirihara, Shiraishi, sanada ...etc on one time.

Just joined Hidive so now I'm with VRV (Crunchyroll + Funimation), Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, and now Hidive. Can stream it all legally day one. Hidive seemed like a good deal @ $3.99 a month for 2 years. Considering I'd pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime anyway, my Hulu is free with Sprint, Hidive + VRV is only $14 a month. Not too much to ask of me.

From what I've watched, all the SMT adaptions have weird pacing. The games are long and the anime usually limited to 12/13 episodes, so I get it.:yeshrug:

Even then the other Persona animes had better animation than this

I think its also just the animation studio are known for being mediocre

and they're trying to emulate a game were the style was always on 10 so regardless the anime isn't going to match that

Persona 5 is a poorly paced game and JRPG game pacing doesn't lend itself well to anime pacing. The bulk of a JRPG's playtime will be dedicated to dungeon crawling and when you take that out for an anime the game's plot will likely move very fast because there's nothing to pad it out.
