Kids on the Slope is fantastic. You don't have to be a jazz connoisseur to respect the way it pays homage to the genre and uses music as a means for characters to freely express themselves, and it's just as much a realistic drama about everlasting friendship and overcoming past burdens.

Definitely one of the best anime I've seen this year. The 4th from Shinichiro Watanabe I consider a personal favorite, others being Bebop, Champloo and Space Dandy.

Just started watching. This is pretty good. I wish Santa Inoue would finish up Tokyo tribe 3. I'm craving another hip hop gang banging manga.
