Only thing I watched for damn near 3 weeks. Those deaths all had me angry and hurt :to:. No one went out like they should've
Bucock hitting up Reinhard and say "on some real shyt, yal can eat a dikk - and i mean that with the utmost respect. we good:salute: watch my homies drink cuz they gonna die the realest" hurt like a motherfukker. especially seeing yang react

on rewatch, a lot of the early deaths bothered me way more. you see how different shyt would've been if some of the smaller characters were still around

like Jessica :mjcry::mjcry::mjcry: she and Yang were the perfect and only fit for Democracy in the Alliance and those fukking b*stards killed her because they were insecure fukkboys on the payroll. when they were under that tree that was supposed to be it :snoop:

and geez

Poplan changing up when his friend died is really undersold too :to:

But I'm glad you enjoyed it. There's so much little stuff in the show that builds upon itself in repeat viewings. Check it out in a few years again and you'll almost sympathize with Oberstein.

If you liked Legend of Galactic Heroes, check out Crest of The Stars too. Same theme more or less, but its a bit of a love story in a similar setting. Don't let that hold you up though, shyt will hit you square in the chest.

Craxy thing is oberstein ended up being one of my top 3 favorite characters. He just has a matter of fact no bs way of looking at issues. At first I didn't like him but he's real
One issue I had towards the end is i felt like the writer had a hard on for killing characters. Even at random times that didn't really make sense. Like all the real ones died. The end Walter died :mjcry:. Then oberstien:mjcry:. Merkatz too :mjcry:. I'm still annoyed by how they let Ruenthal like a damn puppet :mjcry:. Mien Kaiser :mjcry:. Kirechies :mjcry:. Like damn did every real nikka have to die. That was GOT on roids. I'm still surprised how they killed Truhit. And I wish I knew more of Rubinskys end game before he commited that. And even tho I called Yangs death that is top 5 most painful anime deaths for sure. Went out all alone :mjcry:.

Great anime but my God why did everyone have to go :to:. Great recommendation anyway and I'll look at that next anime soon :salute:

oh man
the gentlemen's war with reunthal :mjcry: all of yang's squad. those dudes weren't like any regular army - they were legit friends. start a revolution on "foppery and whim " that was the squad :wow:

watching it again, i'm HATING how Reinhard played games with Mariendorf for so damned long :to: you notice how all these women are so damned loyal? I was weak when Bucock's wife pulled out his uniform for him knowing it was a one way trip.

But you're right, the last act went full "war = death" out of nowhere. like people weren't dying by the MILLIONS from day one

some of the stuff I never caught the first time too. Rubinsky and Dominic were just so demonic together :scust: then out of nowhere, right after Rubinsky blows up a fukking birthday party he asks her "So how about it? :sas1: Want to give me a son? :shaq:"

and she drops her freshly poured drink :hhh: "so you can kill him like your last son? :pacspit: I think not *storms off*" then he's left there by himself drinking alone and says "no so he can kill me :mjcry:"

top 10 show and i pray HBO takes the task on of recreating this. GOAT television.

If you haven't seen Legend of the Galactic Heroes now is a baffling time to be watching it with the potential remake on the way this year.

I was wondering what she was doing in that room. The fact she was probably masturbating to a video game never crossed my mind.

Really dont know how that matters tbh:ld:
If there going to do a Brotherhood style remake I'd rather experience the story for the first time that way than watch that older version of I waited this long. The new anime is a new adaptation of the novels not a remake of the original anime.

If it's a new adaption and not a remake why would i not watch the original that has been raved about before watching the new adaption that is just coming soon that might not be as good? I don't get it

because it's been 20 years since the OVA ended and if I've put off watching it this long I'll wait another year or so and see how the remake of the novels pans out. Given the source material and the studio animating the new version is one of the highest rated studios in anime the chances of it not panning out are pretty slim.

Did Hunter X Hunter 2011 not pan out? Fullmetal Alchemist Brottherhood? When a good studio animates critically acclaimed source material faithfully it works well ask Madhouse and Bones. Production I.G is right up there with them.

i remember being invested in all the characters and how complex their issues were. The way Shinji struggled with responsibility and continued to hurt himself through avoidance of others, Asuka feeling the need to prove her self worth and hurting the people she cared for, Misato's daddy issues and reluctance to trust anyone, what Kaworu represented struck a chord with me at the time.

The mech battles were really well animated and violent. Memorable soundtrack that hasn't gotten old yet. Some of the best cinematography anime has to offer. An anime everyone needs to see at least once
It's breathtaking tbh the visuals, I'm on episode 22 right now and yea I agree I think my investment is a major reason. I've heard the ending is a mindfukk tho so I'll have to wait and see

Honestly still don't get your point at all. If I've got access to an anime considered GOAT tier I'm watching it regardless of if it's getting remade especially if it's not gonna be the same
