John Wall’s career high assist number is 10.7 per game.

Weatbrook’s career high assist number is 10.7 per game.

Westbrook/Beal I actually think can really work. Westbrook’s ability to crash and create can work wonders for the Wizards shooters because Beal & Bertans can get open and thrive. They’re actually already both top 10 in scoring the 3 ball when open. This will definitely open the floor. Bertans is the perfect stretch 4. Westbrook should actually really help Rui as he develops too. I think the Wiz clearly won this trade. John Wall hasn’t played in 2 years, his game is predicated on his explosiveness and history has shown Achilles injuries have not been kind to Guards like Wall. Wiz suddenly can at least compete for top 4-6 in the conference. And entertaining as hell to watch. Won’t play much D but that offense :banderas:

Houston needs to stop trying to pair harden with a ball dominant guard. He doesn't mesh with a Chris Paul or Westbrook or Wall. He needs a seth curry or an avery bradley type.
He needs an allstar big next to him. Somebody like Embiid needs a guy who can create his own shot in the clutch and spread the floor when he's posting up.
Most of two allstar guard tandems i can think of work best when the pg is the alpha, not the sg.

If healthy, and playing at their best level and trio of Harden,Cousins and Wall would be dominant.
But we know Cousins will be a shell of himself before ultimately getting hurt again. Doubt he finishes the season. Wall likely the same.
Even if they both stay healthy they not gonna mesh until season two, which by then the team may already get blown up.

I think the way Westbrook looked in the bubble, coming off COVID & w/ a hammy injury, has really hurt the perception of him being trash when was playing great before the season end in March. Unless you place high value on the protected 1st round pick, I don't see how the trade is not better for the Wizards. Wall is coming from continuous knee injuries, heel injury, and achilles injury. If the Wizards kept him, they might would have had to load manage him to some extent, meanwhile Russ has been a lot more durable. I actually thought there was bigger difference in age between them, but Wall is only two years younger.

Exactly
This trade is horrible to me for the rockets

Even Joakim Noah looks good in practice at this stage of his career..

How many guys have come back from an Achilles injury better than before? Or even 90 percent as good...
