Behind You
Another movie that would have been better being day and date on streaming.

Some movie genres are just not things people are going to rush out and see post covid lockdowns.

A shame but its the reality.
I was shocked when I saw the commercial for it right before it came out and the commercial ended with "Only in Theaters!"...I was like Disney should've pulled 20th Century's collar and made them put that shyt on Disney+.

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
It's odd that you are musical fan but didn't like the songs in West Side Story since these songs are considered some of the best in all musical theater.
Ever.
I mean its Bernstein and Sondheim music.

Maybe they are growers? lol. It just didn't click with me at all. After doing a quick search on theatre kid geek sites, there is a small but vocal contingent of musical theatre fans who hate it with a passion, so I feel justified. lol

I went to see this with friends Friday . no worries about crowds since it flopped and there were plenty of empty seats hopefully keeping Omicron at bay.
I enjoyed it. I even didn't mind the numerous Spanish parts with no subs. I guess they assumed we would get the gist.
There was one thing that bugged me and felt tacked on.
They included a trans woman in for the original tomboy from the 1960s.

:hhh:

Chinó was the only dude in Bernardo’s crew that was a real one.

The rest of those boys turned p#ssy as soon as it was time to put in some real work :scust:

Bout to peep. Shame on Max not having this available in 4K.

But Disney+ do. Dolby Vision too. :wow:

He saw it
Luckily, Spielberg felt “tremendous release” when he saw tears coming out of Sondheim’s eyes and was met with a hug: “It became one of the scariest days of my life and the best days of my life within seconds.” Sondheim “loved how we gave each song a long runway where the scene before the song sets up the song, not one or two words of dialogue that typically triggers the musical numbers in most of the stage productions,” Spielberg recalls. That wasn’t the only compliment, though. “He said, ‘Look, I know the show intimately. I didn't know what was going to happen next. That's not a criticism: You should be very happy.’ And I said, ‘Steve, thank you. I am.’ ”
