I get what you're saying, but with the exception of Jackie Chan those actors do not require the level of athleticism or fighting skills in-comparison to whats needed to bring Blade to life. Blade is a close combat warrior and if Wesley Snipes believes he can do the character justice 16 years after he last portrayed him, then they should give him a shot.

Go watch expendables lots of Hand to hand from dolph/jet li/Stallone. Like u said jacky Chan. And all of taken is hand to hand. They train non combat ready ppl to do stuff all the time in movies bruh it’s all Fake. If u think Chris Evans or sabastian Stan can do the stuff they do in winter soldier better then Wesley could then u are wrong. As bad a Blade Tragedy was Snipes as Blade was still the good part of the movie. If wack ass Goyer and Reynolds didn't try to make the movie a teeny bopper mtv comedy, that backfired. Movie had the biggest budget but made less and flopped compared to the first two Blade flicks. Then they try to use Snipes as the fall guy to why it wasn't good, saying things like he's a method actor, difficult work with. Snipes always method acted when he's Blade but it wasn't an issue then, due to the first two flicks being successful.

And that new person is going to be acting like Snipes Blade anyway, because that's the main thing they will be going off of. Blade in the comics don't work really, even with the success of the Blade films, the comics struggled to create its true own identity, basically trying to copy the things that were done in the movies which is basically the look of Snipes Blade to attract comic book readers.
