This is Sharif Floyd all over again, except Malcolm Brown isn't as good of a prospect as Floyd was.

Part of what makes Richard Sherman so good is that the dude is a fukkin animal in the film room.

Richard Sherman's smarts with Byron Jones' athleticism ain't gonna be a bust brehs.

First, Jones was meticulous in his film study starting with an opposition's first- and second-down runs, then moving to play-action plays, then to third-down calls. He uses a play in a 31-21 loss to East Carolina as one example. By the formation, he knew a receiver was about to set a pick on him.

"So I played off one route," he said, "and I was able to get a pass breakup on third down."

Jones said he "definitely" can bring this element of his game to the NFL.

"Whoever you go against is athletic," Jones said. "They're just as fast as you, just as strong as you. So you have to find a way to get ahead and a lot of times that's just film study."

I'd be down with Duke 2 or 3rd round (thats my boy anyway lol). I'm looking at the flaws of all the backs left, still think there's a guy or two who could be pretty good, I'm not saying HOF level but better than what we got, I just pray we snatch him up. Langford, Johnson, Coleman in no order are the guys I rock with...

They're freaking mad men, they're crazy...Mad scientists" IDK where that came from but I was high fiving my boy like Stephen and Jason were after the pick was in lol...

I hope I'm wrong on Byron Jones.. bruh seems like a workout warrior to me. Nothing jumps out on film. Where's the production?

I wanted Brown.. the Shariff Floyd comparison a few posts up is stupid. Two different players. Brown could be the next Wilfork.

If people rarely throw your way that counts as production. My #1 choice was Peters followed by Brown today though is when they really start to build the team, if players start to get snatched up then i do want them to make a move up.

I'd like to add that Jones needs some facial hair. A mustache, goatee or something...nikka lookin like he goes around snatchin' up lil kids.

If people rarely throw your way that counts as production. My #1 choice was Peters followed by Brown today though is when they really start to build the team, if players start to get snatched up then i do want them to make a move up.

I'll feel much better about Jones if we get Kikaha or Markus Golden at some point today...both guys could fill immediate pass rush needs.

And if we can get one of Tevin Coleman and Duke Johnson today that would be great too.

Not sure how likely it is for all of that...i think most of those guys have second round grades...maybe injury concerns could drop Kikaha to the 3rd though.

And look at him now, I swear some of y'all just want this pick to fail because it wasn't who you wanted. I wanted Brown but i'm willing to trust the front office and see where this goes, because while we all watched a 2min highlight clip on YT these scouts watched hours of film provided by colleges.

Big corners tend to have stiffer hip movement so that's not at all surprising, as for Kevin being the only good corner

You are being real extra right now, you act like they just drafted Bobby Carpenter or Stephen Hodge and it's the end of the world. Do you not see the mess our corner situation is right now? Our secondary is terrible whereas we at least have some talent on the DL. My #1 choice was always corner but i wanted Marcus Peters, Brown might be a solid player and I wanted him as well but it is what it is. It honestly seems like you want this pick to be a bust.
