Why didn't they trade the expiring contracts if you weren't planning on bringing them back (which we knew they weren't)
This is why the Grizzlies are heading towards being the biggest dumpster fire in the NBA for the next half a decade. They continuously burned thru assets and depended on the core four to make the playoffs under miraculous terms.
Wallace was too afraid to take the heat to be responsible for sending Zbo and TA away. Now he has to face the heat of producing a shyt show roster with all the cap tied up in 3 guys that aren't stars.

Surrounding max-contract guys with a bunch of young 2nd rounders and undrafted guys. Plain stupidity.
And of note, if JaM doesn't re-sign, that'd be another non-core 4 guy since Arthur that hasn't received a 2nd contract. And we wonder why we never have talent. We let them go all the time, mostly for nothing smh.
