I really want to repost this for context

We’re at game 81….. how does a coach say this at game 81 and you don’t see coaching as a major problem with the team. These roster issues have existed for months and now that it’s about to be the playoffs Thibs has the realization they need to rethink things? We’re going to fix things fast when teams realized they could hide their center on Hart and put a guard on KAT months ago?

He’s had weeks to replace Hart in the starting lineup.

They could have added a Back up center and he could have played more Mitch and KAT, but Thibs wanted a veteran voice and they wasted a spot on the worthless PJ Tucker.

Mo Cheeks needs to be fired too. He’s a coaching equivalent of Steve Mills. Nice guy but he ain’t really doing shyt.

Thibs can’t adapt. His whole style is to force the other team to give into his will by having his guys essentially beat them up. When Rose said do you want to trade the scrappy Randle and DDV for KAT he should have said no. Hell Wright played great when Brunson was out and now that Shamet, Bridges, and Payne are back he’s benched for those guys. Wright fits Thibs, yet he ain’t playing him.

I think Thibs is out of his depth having a talented team and not some guys who are built to grind out wins. He could do a lot with these guys there is a lot of BBIQ on this team, but Thibs isn’t built to coach guys who can win based on talent and BBIQ. There are barely options or wrinkles in the offense and defense.

So you know what, it’s always harder to replace Talent than it is to replace Thibs. It’s time for him to go.

0-16 against top teams means that Thibbs has no real strategy. Even mediocre teams get a W against one of top teams from time to time.

Just fire him after the season and look for who's available. The ceiling for this team is 2nd round and even a Pistons 1st round will be tough.

He hasn't coached his team to the conference finals since Derrick Rose MVP year.

0-16 vs okc, Cavs, Celts, Lakers, clips, and Warriors is pathetic

I can see KD on this team next year:sadcam:
Mikal, Hart and Mitch for KD
OG and Mitch for KD
Towns for KD
The second trade probably won't happen, but I can see it with the other two. I don't think I'd consider a trade for KD unless he decides to reup for way less than a max, but I bet the Knicks will this offseason.

I do wanna see what this team looks like with Mitch starting at 5 and Towns at 4 before any trades are considered though. I'm not a fan of Towns, but having one of the best spot up 3 point shooters in the league play as a 5 (and mainly in the post), when he's been proven to be better as a 4, is damn near criminal. I don't understand why Thibs hasn't tried to shake up the starting line up at all.

Yall really panicking, huh. Putting a 37 year old KD on the other side of an Achilles injury, really going to make us elite huh :stopitslime:
It's an option that has to be considered IMO, especially since you're just asking him to compliment JB/KAT.

You never want to jump to conclusions so we're gonna let it all play out, but it's alarming to me that virtually every player during this tenure has immediately played their best basketball under Thibs, and that hasn't happened with Mikal - then you get the comments about minutes and you can tell it's just off.

Yall basing this off 1 year of Bridges. Remember when folks wanted to jet Deuce the f*ck outta here (I was one of them)
