I am not trying to be, that is just what it is right now, and when you see it for what it is. It’s clear they can’t just run it back AND they can’t do trades unless they are ok with taking a loss.
We seen these situations before and we all know how it’s suppose to go. The FO is loyal to Thibs, but they can do right by him and take the steps needed to fix this. It’s not binary choice between the two.
Also like I said before, once Malone got fired, Thibs really got in the hot seat because at the very least Malone has a better record, and the Knicks job would be a great place for him to land.
