Was at the game again with my gf who’s now my fiancee (got engaged a few weeks ago) and the win streak continues. I gotta get playoff tickets. But this win was bittersweet. Yesterday my pops passed away and he’s the reason I am a knicks fan. I even got a tattoo with the knicks logo and my dad’s initials (I did it a few years ago). It tough y’all. My dad wasn’t just a great dad, he was a great human being. My fondest memories was him taking me to basketball games as a kid. And it was great to return the favor to him for Father’s Day a few years ago. I treat him to court side seats at the Nets game and he was like a kid in a candy store. He never left the seat lol. Ima miss my dad. Sorry to get deep but this game was therapeutic for me to help get through this time of mourning. As my dad would often say: GO KNICKS

Sorry for your loss breh. Lost my pops almost 10 years ago. It gets easier with time. Glad you got to commemorate him with a Knicks win.

Congrats on the engagement, and my deepest condolences and sympathies on the passing of your dad, my breh. Glad you got to have a couple hours to decompress as you grieve your loss.

He reminds me of Grimes when he was here where he didn't play with heart or a dog mentality
Grimes was a better 2-way player. We knew if he wasn't showing up offensively, he was at least able to be decent on defense.

Mikal just needs to focus on his strong suits which is those mid range shots. He needs to simplify his dribbling inside the perimeter, clean up and be more assertive in that area.

His weakness is being exposed outside the perimeter.
