They did Doug so dirty.....and then traded Wentz anyway. SMH. Carson was trending in the wrong direction for awhile. Also Nick Success seemed to affect his mental. 5 Years, No Playoffs. That's just the wrong direction. I think he's going to do OK on the Colts but the AFC is stacked, well see. As for us. This is a complete Rebuild. So I'm going in with limited expectations. Carson will have my respect for 2017 but after Nick won in the Playoffs, he should of been the starter. I stand by that and I feel vindicated by those feelings even more today. When you win the Super Bowl and 4 Playoff Games, Your the starter period. Howie is a damn mess.

I’m not sold on Hurts either. I don’t think he was good last season, I don’t think he has a lot of upside, and I think the Eagles need to seriously consider Justin Fields or Zach Wilson if they’re available at #6.This is an L for us imo

I thought Philadelphia got fleeced at first, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Wentz had to go. He’s 28, not likely to get much better. The Eagles need to rebuild and clearing his 2022 cap hit helps a lot. Even if they didn’t get much in return for him, it’s worth it to get that money back. Plus, if Wentz can stay healthy and at least play well enough not to get benched in Indy, we get an extra 1st for 2022 - which is when the Eagles can be good again.
As for Sirianni and co., the FO signed a supposedly QB-friendly staff. They could have been used to turn Wentz around, sure, but they might also be used to develop a rookie QB/Jalen Hurts. It wasn’t just about Wentz.
I’m just glad the guy is gone. I don’t hate Wentz like a lot of people here, I thought he was a solid QB in 2018 and 2019 and I hope he bounces back in Indy with a better team and HC, but he was abysmal last season. And the Eagles need to be selling anyone with any value whatsoever right now.
I do agree that Roseman sucks, though. No GM should get the chance to oversee three team rebuilds.
