:mjtf: what kinda dumbass logic is this? Eagles was purposely putting out the practice squad all stars to sabotage Wentz, so I don't know why going forward, you would want the eagles to continue have "bums" for hurts to prove a petty internet disagreement, lol stop it

Hurts is a rookie man who came in late in a season
what's your excuse for Wentz being near the TOP OF THE LEAGUE in turnovers and he didn't even play the last month of the season?

I'm starting to think the hurts family did something to you personally becuase how Anti Hurts you are and how you can battle a whole thread on the internet about it lol

The most impt thing you said was acknowledging that the org sabotaged him, 2 yrs in a row

Hurts ain't the answer and I've said that from the day he was drafted

Trade Hurts for a 2, and draft Fields

Sure they could, but it doesn’t change the fact that they were in those situations in the first place.

When a team only wins four games – three of which came against 2nd or 3rd-string QBs – then it’s a failure of an entire team, not any one QB or coach (although Wentz and Pederson definitely played large roles in it, too). And as the person responsible for building that team, Roseman has to take the majority of the blame.

And while at least the financial situation could easily improve by 2022, especially with Wentz’s contract off the books for that year, the Eagles are still in the unenviable position of relying on a guy who routinely struggles to identify or draft talent to suddenly be able to do so.
I’m not mad at a GM for doubling down on a roster that won us a super bowl.

As far as drafting, we’ve been terrible at the early rounds, but we’ve also found gems in the late round. I know only think about the eagles, but a lot of teams miss when it comes to draft.

can't mess this draft up. If you don't get a 10 to 12 yr starter, Howie should get canned.

Comparing Howie Roseman’s drafting performance to the rest of the NFL

This article analyzes how Howie has drafted relative to the rest of the NFL. Suffice it to say, it’s not good. Especially when you narrow it down to 2016-2020.

Yes, luck plays a huge part. And, yes, every other GM out there has a particularly egregious miss or two on their resume. But how many GMs out there are building teams that are untalented, expensive, and old at the same time? The ones that do tend to get fired.

Y'all have to understand Howie didn't have last say on some of those draft picks for example Whiteside was Jeff Lurie everybody else including Roseman wanted Metcalf. Lurie said he has great character and Stanford bullshyt.

Let's see what happens this draft.

That sounds like Malcolm Jenkins

Keep throwing Wentz under the bus tho

Could be alluding to Howie...could be alluding to Lurie

I know one thing, this team was sabotaged

Extending Alshon, giving Desean multi year deal, giving Malik Jackson 10 mil a season...drafting a QB in 2nd round instead of an immediate starter...passing on Metcalf, passing on Dobbins, passing on Chinn...I can go on & on

So? John Elway won a Super Bowl and was named Executive of the Year, too. And yet plenty of Broncos fans were happy when he finally stepped away from the position.

Being a GM is about building a consistently contending team. In these last five years, Howie has done that just once (2017). The Saints, by comparison, have gone 11-5, 13-3, 13-3, and 12-4 in that same time frame and dominanted the NFC South each year.

Roseman just came out of 2020 with a team that manages to somehow hit the trifecta of being bad, old, and expensive all at once. How many other teams in the NFL, right now, check all three of those boxes? Some, like the Saints, are old but at least have been talented enough to contend. Others, like the Jets, are bad but have the cap space to get better. The Eagles are the only one I can think of that are all three. GMs get fired for this shyt.

If Eagles fans are going to blame Wentz and Pederson for the disaster that was this last season, then they need to also extend that blame to the guy who built the fukking team. If Wentz and Pederson deserve to go due to this disaster, then Howie needs to go too. A team doesn't find itself winning only four games just because of a bad QB alone. It's the kind of thing that happens when your GM spends three years failing to find talent while sinking a bunch of money into declining veterans who can't stay on the field.

And Howie has built a contending team until this year when our QB regressed and our whole team got injured. This is the first time we missed the playoffs in 3 years :what:
