Were there any plans and objectives outside of holding a sign that says "Reparations" or was everything ruined in that moment?

Probably we're just there to add their message and nothing more. They would have been better off just letting them live, a sign in a sea of people isn't doing much. Now they gave them a moment for a viral video. Be more welcoming of different opinions is the lesson.

They shouldn't have been told to leave but I have a hard time getting outraged if they were just there to hold signs. If they were trying to set up a meeting or attend something where the rubber meets the road I'd understand a lot more, but this deal where people activate over performance will always be fruitless.

I said ignore them not "give it value". This incident like you said isn't a big deal. They would have been better off ignoring them despite not liking them. There is value in tolerance, you don't need to piss off everyone you don't like unnecessarily.
