I never go to the barber that's waiting all alone. Learned that twice. Never again.
If u walk in and see people still sitting but that one barber down at the end looks up n signals to u....
DON'T GO
There's a reason he's still available despite people waiting.
came in for thisWhere the piic so we can roast breh
Im sorry man. Really I am. One summer I got my hairline FXCKED up by my barber ( luckily I had time for it to grow back for 2 weeks before I went on vacation) for the last time. Your boy was LIVID. I was confused... defeated... helpless. How many times must this happen?
This wasn't some random barber or a fill in... this was my GO TO GUY.. My ace. I been going to him for YEARS and he never once did me wrong. But that one day I walked into the shop and I knew something was wrong. The atmosphere was off. He seemed... distracted. He wasn't talkin much and it was obvious his mind was somewhere else. I was in a rush so I didnt ask any questions. But it didnt matter...
It was the last straw.. I couldnt take it anymore. I went home that day and had an epiphany. Iunno, its like a channeled my inner . It had struck me that my look, my swag, my appearance, my main source of confidence... the very thing that I see when I look in the mirror... my physical IDENTITY... is in the hands of another man, capable of human error. I just felt so helpless once I realized how much power I was giving over to this breh. And he is STILL capable of fxcking me up on accident with no consequences.... no insurance.
From that day forward I told myself that if my head was gonna be fxcked up, it would be on my own terms. If I looked wack I would have no one to blame but myself. I got a pair of clippers from my dad, and studied youtube videos for months until it was time. One night on a complete whim I just went in the bathroom with a hand mirror and I did it. I looked fresh as fxck. No one noticed that I cut it myself and when I told them, they didnt believe it.... The feeling is a amazing. Its like you learned a new skill that will pay off for a lifetime. Freedom. Im now in COMPLETE control of my appearance. Never been inside a barber shop since.
Learn to cut your own hair. Do whatever it takes. You will not regret it.
Exactly bruh...giving over that amount of control to another person...your appearance is VITAL...the women, the money, and most importantly your own SELF VALUE can all be affected by the hands of another cat...it's just to much weight to give to another man to holdIm sorry man. Hi my name is OnLyLnO and i got my shyt pushed back,
I knew something was wrong when this dude sprayed my hair with that smell-good for like 45 seconds.
.
Hopped out the chair, turned around, and my reflection brehs...
It hit me like a cancer diagnosis.
Swear to god, my knees got weak, vision got blurry, throat dry was dry.
I turned to the Barber like
He staring back at me like
the barber at the chair next to us looking at my tape like
We both tried to play it off, He asking me do i want the razor?
Told him nah its cool, i'm in a hurry.
but I could barely hand the dude his money.
Left the shop heated, got in the car sweating like Ben Carson around nikkas.
I told myself it ain't that bad. Maybe, I always had a big forehead
Drove home, walked into the house, Family immediately spotted me like
Went straight to the bathroom. Checking the mirror still in denial
I'm looking goofy trying to find an angle where that shyt works.
but it aint happening.
I gotta accept it.
But it's not fair brehs
I'm a good patron; I got a lil dandruff but i'm a generous tipper;
I always ask my regular barber about his personal life
He tells me that he got plans. Cutting is only his side hustle.
Dude has been working on a B.A. at the university of phoenix for like 8 years.
StilI, I always encouraged him.
I was having a great day.
I had plans for the week.
How am i going to show my face at work.
I can't rock a fitted on the Job.
I'm a charismatic dude and i'll be able to spin this.
But i know people will now judge me forehead first.
What about the women in my life?
I'm about three conversations away from getting with a girl at work.
Now that my confidence is shook, is flirting even going to work?
This barber might have pushed back my entire life.
How do i compensate?
All of this because my regular Barber was out.
Only open chair was the old Jamaican dude in the shop
I thought his age would mean greater wisdom and experience.
Dude's fingers smelled like Black and Milds
Help brehs. This is a safe place.
I need advice, counsel, moral support.
brehs who have gone through this.
How have you managed?
Imma pray for u bruh...just let it grow back for A WHILE...let that area that isn't used to being cut grow its follicles back UNIMPEDED (unbothered)...DO NOT TRIM THAT AREA EARLY...LET IT GROW BACK TO THE DARKNESS OF THE HAIR BEHIND IT...just gotta look busted for about a month...but if left alone it should return back to normal...remember dog...TREAD LIGHTLYI got a funeral tomorrow.
Just a week filled with tragedies.
