In two weeks u can get it fixed. But that sucks, cause for me, it doesn't matter how I feel, how much money is in my pocket, or what I'm wearing, a fresh cut makes everything better for about a week.

Haven't got a bad haircut since I was 14. A lot of the shops around that time were full of nyggas who couldn't cut. But they were the closest to my block, and had the least wait time. One place was the worst
....

One dude was overcharging me (and I was dumb young) and couldn't cut right -- everything bout him was grimey.

the other dude would go outside to talk to people while I'm in the chair, come back 20 minute later drunk talking bout "they were playing dominoes and serving chicken upstairs". But I liked him because he was a Canibus fan.

Me and my boys just copped some wahls back in the day and practiced. Then eventually we just started cutting our own hair. It only takes a couple of months to learn, you just got to have confidence, and not be scared of a fukked up cut every now and then. My clippers I have now are the same ones you see at the barber.

That straight edge line up and shave, takes a steady hand though. But when you learn the proper angle, you can shave your face with the straight razor with no bumps. Its the best for black men, as long as you get that angle correct.

BTW my grandmother was a beautician, so she bought my equipment for me when I was a kid

Edit: this was WAAYYY before youtube. I'm one of the elders on the coli. Not gonna lie, shyt was trial and error at first.
aint it a 30 degree angle?

Learned how to cut my own hair at 14, couldn't understand paying $10+ every two weeks.

edit: But my hair is easy to cut, IDK if it's the same for everyone else.

Hi my name is OnLyLnO and i got my shyt pushed back,

I knew something was wrong when this dude sprayed my hair with that smell-good for like 45 seconds.
.
:francis:

Hopped out the chair, turned around, and my reflection brehs...

It hit me like a cancer diagnosis.

Swear to god, my knees got weak, vision got blurry, throat dry was dry.

I turned to the Barber like

:leostare:

He staring back at me like
:jbhmm:

the barber at the chair next to us looking at my tape like

giphy.gif

We both tried to play it off, He asking me do i want the razor? :lupe:

:smugfavre: Told him nah its cool, i'm in a hurry.

but I could barely hand the dude his money.

:mjcry:

Left the shop heated, got in the car sweating like Ben Carson around nikkas.
I told myself it ain't that bad. Maybe, I always had a big forehead :ld:

Drove home, walked into the house, Family immediately spotted me like

:whoo:

Went straight to the bathroom. Checking the mirror still in denial
I'm looking goofy trying to find an angle where that shyt works.
but it aint happening.
I gotta accept it.

But it's not fair brehs
:damn:

I'm a good patron; I got a lil dandruff but i'm a generous tipper;

I always ask my regular barber about his personal life
He tells me that he got plans. Cutting is only his side hustle.:youngsabo:

Dude has been working on a B.A. at the university of phoenix for like 8 years.
:heh:

StilI, I always encouraged him.

I was having a great day.
I had plans for the week.
:to:

How am i going to show my face at work.
I can't rock a fitted on the Job.
I'm a charismatic dude and i'll be able to spin this.
But i know people will now judge me forehead first.

What about the women in my life?
I'm about three conversations away from getting with a girl at work.
Now that my confidence is shook, is flirting even going to work?

This barber might have pushed back my entire life.
How do i compensate?

All of this because my regular Barber was out.
Only open chair was the old Jamaican dude in the shop:flabbynsick:
I thought his age would mean greater wisdom and experience.
Dude's fingers smelled like Black and Milds

:snoop:

Help brehs. This is a safe place.
I need advice, counsel, moral support.
brehs who have gone through this.
How have you managed?

OP why would you pay him he fukked your head up, fukk him.:pacspit:
