the way yall talk bout detroit is fukkin depressing man damn....seems the city had the epic of most epic fall offs....makes me want to see it in person:patrice:

come on out when you have time. when you go from area to area it will seem like a graph hill with all of the up and down you will see visually.

what really gets me the most is how the radio stations and the music fell off.

you had the hiphop shop where cats like Eminem, Proof, Elzhi, Slum Village/Dilla and etc were unknown yet all in the same building hungry and spitting/battling

A station out here: FM 98 used to have this show called the rap blast,. i believe it was either Friday or Saturday nights from like 8,9 PM-12:00 AM, they played all of the new shyt, local and nationwide, they used to have folks calling in freestyle battling over the phone, they used to always have the exlusives and remixes too, first time I heard Outkast Elevators, Common's the bytch in Yoo before any of it was released, classic debates over the Canibus and LL battle :ohlawd:. They stayed playing underground ish, and positive groups like Pharcyde,Camp Lo, Goodie Mob, stuff from all regions. Def Jam, Deathrow, Suave House, Rap-A-Lot, everything.

dude has to find somebody to give him a nice cut though, if it's one thing Detroit isn't short on it is barbers, you can literally find one everywhere. They don't necessarily cut out of a shop either lol. I know some barbers in Pontiac and Canton even that can hook him up.

yeah 96.3 held it down, 98 used to be heavy competition. 96.3 came through during the G-Funk area. Hearing Warren G - Regulate and Mista Grimm- Indo Smoke on the radio during a nice summer day :myman:
