With this move, this is basically the organization saying the season is over.
It’s actually the opposite. The safe move is to keep Cousins, miss out on the playoffs and bring in Penix next year.

This move shows they’re at least trying to compete for the playoffs. Even if we don’t control our own destiny.

ATL to MEM
If Kirk would have laid an egg this upcoming Sunday against the Giants (which basically ends in the result of our season being over), then hell yeah start Penix, the Falcons need to see what they have going into next season.

I just feel this is a very knee jerk reaction, The Falcons are putting the season on the line with a unproven rookie quarterback coach Rah is making this move like his job is on the line he's still in his first season with this team.

Exactly what season is on the line? Have you seen anything on the field this year that leads you to believe this is a good team that can win a playoff game?

Making the playoffs and getting smoked shouldn’t be defined as a successful season.

This season is over. Time to see what Penix can offer going into next year. Not only that, but let’s see if the offensive play calling improves. Everyone should be auditioning for next season for the next couple games.

Since the announcement of Penix being the starter, I've noticed the price of the Falcons vs Giant tickets went up a bit. lol

Not often you can win a road game and still feel like you lost but man what a disappointing uninspiring effort. Almost felt like we wanted to lose at the end

Kirk is done…he just looks bad back there and the coaching staff had no faith in him to throw the ball downfield

Defense and ST made plays, but Koo was still inconsistent

Not sure how this team catches TB playing like this…I’ll take the W but this was as ugly a Falcons W I’ve ever seen
What happened with Kirk - he started slow but he seemed to get it back up until the past 4-5 weeks

Of course the ATL

Injuries. I don’t believe he’s been fully healthy all season. Look at him throw he’s wincing in pain, throws over 20 yards look like they’re taking the life out of him. I think also psychologically he’s seeing ghosts and started doubting himself, he’s didnt look like a confident QB and Monday was just the nail in the coffin

This a nasty segment smh
They (Acho and Chase) giving Penix the Hurts/Lamar treatment of unnecessary extra pressure and expectations.
If he plays average good, they'll undermine it
If he plays bad, ignore the other QBs of his tier and shyt on him
