We just saw our rookie QB go out and play like he belongs, we control our own destiny, our 2 games left are against a QB nikkas were calling the WOAT bust #1 pick a month ago and a team coached by the guy we all called trash and wanted ran out of town, and you wanna be negative?. I agree and I get jaded with the franchise often. I get the pessimism after watching Shítts and Kirk this season up until the Giants game but Penix looked great and we got help from Dallas last night. If MPJ continues to improve each week, we could be a dangerous team in the playoffs. Gotta put Washington down next week though. Embarrass that bald headed cac.

Also, we got another black, left handed Michael as the franchise QB

Bo Nix only did that bc his head coach. Dan Quin ain’t SP. we’ve got a shot and it’s going to be hard for DQ to scheme against a QB with one week of tape on.

Defense is riding a high off the past two games but I agree they are weak but improving every week

I get it if you’re jaded based on the season but the reality is that we’re leading the division with 2 games left. We’re in playoff mode the rest of the way. I’m excited about Sunday night and a chance to go get a win. After the last couple months this is exactly where we wanted to be

Plus, if we win and TB loses, we clinch the division. That seemed unlikely even 24 hours ago but here we are. If you can’t be excited about that then maybe you shouldn’t be a fan

We actually had folks crying becuz we didn't take Dallas Turner or Verse. Who may turn out to be good but they ain't generational defenders and they ain't as important as a starting QB. I mean cmon now

Your statement reads as if because we have a black qb the team is now legit good. We are better but the TEAM is still mediocre at best. Don’t let wins against the Raiders and Giants fool you into believing this defense is decent. It’s still soft, you will see on Sunday.

Bruh, I tried to give Kirk a chance and let Mike get his experience under him, but I’m too hyped for another black QB in Atlanta. I’m glad we did it sooner rather than later AND still have a shot at the offs

There is nothing legitimate about calling 9-8 "a typical Falcons season" when we haven't been in that space for almost a decade. We have won our most games in SEVEN YEARS breh. There is literally not a cell in our bodies that has experienced a Falcons team this good.

Our defense is mid as fukk, but it's just that, mid. It's not awful. We've been playing a completely different since the bye week too. Take out the 4th quarter against the Vikings and we're averaging 14.4 ppg. And that's not just results, it's philosophy. We're playing a lot more man coverage, sending more effective blitzes, getting consistent pressure, and playing with an aggression on defense that we simply were not playing with before the bye. THIS defense, the one we're running right now, is not soft. It may be mid, but it's not soft.

We can revisit the Kirk saga in the offseason, but he was the only thing holding us back from being a playoff team since the bye and we have replaced him with a QB who is physically superior in every respect and may be more mentally prepared to play at this moment as well.

We've taken a long, winding road to get here, but if somebody would've told us at the start of the year that we'd be in 1st place in the division and controlling our destiny with 2 games to go, we would've all happily taken that. So it's really fukkin weird to be so pessimistic when we're basically where we were supposed to be AND momentum is on the upswing. That energy has no legitimacy right now, you just hating.
