I agree. Hopefully the cat who you say spit in your face got his ass whipped. That's assault under the law actually. The confusion comes in the vagueness of what street harassment actually is. I think that reasonable black men and women agree that men approaching women in public aggressively and verbally assaulting those who aren't responsive is wrong and shouldn't be condoned by our community. The problem is that street harassment can be something as little as looking at a women according to some. Looking, speaking, or even politely approaching a woman publicly shouldn't be be painted as harassing.
Honestly I don't believe his/her story.
The story:
I've had a black man spit in my face outside of a club because I refused to give him my number. All the other men who were around (who were black, Go figure) stood there and laughed as this man berated me in front of everyone. And you know what's funny? A fukking WHITE man had to come and tell him to knock it off. Just my two cents.
