The word accountability is scarier than the word child support to most of us which is sad. I agree with the OP even if he or she could be a bait troll. You can't criticize another black man on his fukery with issues. I got into a fight with a former friend because he was complaining about wanting to have a family of his own when I had to remind the nikka that he already had 3 kids that he doesnt see at all :snoop: and the first thing he brought was his baby mamas, who are good women in my opinion and the only reason why he beefing with them is because they wanted money for the kids and rather spend it on strippers and video games.

nikkas in the street harassment thread kept making every reason on why the law shouldnt passed while completely ignoring the most important factor which is respecting women's space. Instead they wanted to jump on black women and call them pawns of white supremacy and feminism instead acknowledging their struggles and feelings, but thats the coli for you.

You sound emotional like a bytch but i get that because alot of black boys that think they're men learned everything about masculinity from rap music and their single mothers. The fact of the matter is, when you have money, live in a multicultural city and have an attitude that dimes of all races gravitate toward, you have whats called options and this is where my options took me. To a place called happiness. It coulda been a black woman. I was dating a few black women at the time i met my future wife n they were cooperative but she knocked them out the box with a combination of talents they lacked and the rest is history :blessed: No malice.
Wsit a minute...you went on a rant after a joke but I'm emotional?

I'm sorry but I have to agree with OP is saying to a certain extent. If black men were serious about checking each other they'd be checking these pulpit preachers who pimp their mothers, grandmothers, and wives. They'd be checking the terrorist in our community who are terrorizing their community. They'd be checking these brothers who exploit and disrespect black women.

Brothas do check eachother. Society holds men accountable one way or the other. There are no "outs" for men. Men can't run away from child support. If they don't pay, their paychecks will be garnished or they will face jail time.

The question remains. Do women in general hold eachother accountable? Does society at large hold women accountable? I would say no

such a blanket statement, i dont know how you can justify saying this... men are held accountable because theyre wages are garnished and they might go to jail... thats the example you give..... lol

women are held responsible in having to raise the fukkin child.

and thats not even on some superman shyt but the idiocy of that statement and then the example struck me....

all human beings are agents, scrutinized to different degrees... will smith's son will never know accountability like a muslim girl growing up in nigeria, under the pressure of being killed, raped or kidnapped because she's going to elementary school.

A woman can go to social services and get welfare, food stamps, medical, child support and all types of govt aid. If a woman has a child and she feels that she can't raise it or doesn't want to raise it, she can drop the infant off at a hospital or fire department with no questions asked.

Women are applauded for being single mothers that raise their children. When single fathers do the same, society says "that's what you're supposed to do"

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Honestly, I don't even know why a woman would take anything seriously that 99.9% of these dudes say on here. Objectively, they aren't social scientists or some shyt. They're just men with tenuous opinions based on their limited anecdotal experiences. They are not going to be breaking down the GSS and offering serious insight based on inferential statistics, research they've conducted, qualitative measures, etc. It's essentially barbershop canards, and a site like the Coli is going to be self-selecting in that regard. It's akin to me going to LSA and extrapolating from that all women enjoy gossip and want a "baller." Even a good portion of the men that position themselves on here as a pro-egalitarian society, pro-black women, or worse yet -- have been deemed a "simp," will be in the next thread referring to women as bytches and hoes. But, is that representative or generalizable to all black men? Of course not. The main thing you can take away from this site, LSA, and the internet as a collective experience is that most people aren't shyt (i.e. whether they are black, white, male, female, et al). Yes, that might be a harshly cynical view or even misanthropic, but this place and the vast majority of places online are indicative of it. If you take that approach, and apply it on some Cartesian foundationalism shyt, it becomes easier to not take the things you read and see online seriously. Ultimately, it's not a "most black men don't ride for black women," thing. It's a "most people aren't shyt," thing. It's not a "black women hate black men," thing. It's that "most people aren't shyt." The internet is the equivalent of writing dirty jokes on the wall in a public bathroom and having subsequent visitors find it humorous, feeling apathetic towards it, or deriding it.
