he was drafted to be a number 1 guy, and he's not. I don't ever see him being a 1 either.

He was drafted to be a number one guy and he has not lived up to that. But all the other garbage I'm hearing from some people in here is ridiculous. I hear nothing but excuses for our piece of shyt QB, about how bad the coaching was and all that...yet Crabs was supposed to rise above it.

I think he has the tools to be a top 10 receiver. I would like to see him healthy with a proper QB and an offense that's better than dead last in the league.

VD had a crappy year this past year too, but folk are on his junk. I won't front, he came up big in the post season....but he was also the only guy who Alex threw to.

That's what my issue with Crabs is, you can't be a #1 with aite speed, aite hands, and worst, no ability to get real separation. You don't have to be the fastest cat, but if you aren't a speedster, run precision routes and shyt. And to be a diva with "aite" skills is :stopitslime:.

I know Alex doesn't help his cause, but Crabs hasn't helped his case either to be honest.

The diff is Alex has been here for 7 years and has the ball in his hands every snap.

You think every top tier receiver has blazing speed? Separation is not about speed. You can get open without being a speedster. As far as his hands, our coach has said his hands are the greatest he's ever seen. He does need to improve on the drops, though. Again with the diva shyt. Please point me to any member of the team calling him a diva. Coach again said he was the ultimate proffesional and a hard worker.

Back to separation...do you think Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Manning, etc throw to guys who are always open? ALEX SMITH DOES NOT THROW TO RECEIVERS WHO ARE COVERED. HE IS AFRAID OF THROWING A PICK. In today's league, you HAVE to throw your receivers open. You HAVE to throw into tight windows.

The guy had 900 yards in the WORST offense in the league. He ligned up with an injured Braylon, Swain and Williams all season all the while nursing an injury. He has some improvements to make, but how yall trash the guy while letting others skate free is despicable.

No #2 receiving threat
Worst offense in the league
A QB who refuses to throw him the ball unless he's wide open
Top receiver on the team.
nursing an injury the entire season.

900 yards 5 TD's in 14ish games.

"YOU SUCK!!!!"

I'm not going to argue with folk who called him a faker when he broke his foot in training camp.

Why bring up Loyd when Crabs has put up better numbers? Loyd had 1 good season in his entire career
because he made plays. the same overthrown passes alex threw he came up with the ball. you ask why we dont throw to crabs when hes covered ? precisely because shiit happens on those plays., he cant go up and get the ball. the ball gets tipped and shiit. vernon on other hand gets up and catches ball with multiple defenders around him no matter how high the ball gets thrown.

And are we going to compare McCarthy's offense to 2 years in Raye's? Again, you dislike the player so you throw context out the window when comparing him to others.
I dont dislike the player. dont put words in my mouth. again, if you believe I "dislike" any player on the team for anything but their performance, after reading my posts for 3+ years, you're an idiot. plain and simple. Im sorry but thats it.

Who would you say are better QB's at the time Rattay or Carr, Hill, T. Smith?
hill and alex of last year >>>>>>>>>> rookie alex and rattay

As far as TJ Yates and Andre Johnson.. Thsi is how I know you're not being honest in this discussion. AJ played 5 games with Yates.

week 12 2 for 22 0TD
week 13 4 for 97 0TD
week 17 2 for 21 0TD
Week 18 5 for 90 1TD
Week 19 4 for 111 0TD

Looks pretty pedestrian to me. Yates is actually on par with Smith and better than Troy Smith/Carr whom Crabs had to play with for 7 fukking games.

3 90 yard games are pedestrian ? LOL ok.

and VD had a damn solid year for a TE. its not his fault he gets open more than crabtree and that crabtree has made like 2 plays in his NFL career with cats doubling him.

two of crabtrees best games came against the rams, one of the worst secondaries over the last few years in the league.

again, crabs doesnt seem to possess none of the elite tools to be anywhere close to top 10. he was a drafted as a playmaker even tho he didnt particiapate in the combine due to his injury. well so far not much of a playmaker.

this is a playmaker

Doggie, I agree with you fam.

I said that you don't have to have blazing speed to get separation and that running great routes helps to overcome. :hmm:

Crabs got talent, but I don't see "special" in him.

Alex playing scared doesn't help, but far too many games I see Crabs droppin balls and shyt, running bad routes, and crying about not getting the ball. :childplease:

I'd love to open up the offense more, but I understand that Alex is gunshy and a game manager. It is what it is...

VD is covered by LB'ers he presents a mismatch every time he steps on the field. Compare Crabs to other receivers on the team....but you can't....

VD did not have a good year until the tail end of the season and post season. It was his worst year since his 3 seasons. Up until week 14, he had just 2 games above 50 yards. Ye that's what you call a good season for a TE? Stop it.

I want to see my receiver ask for the ball. WTF. You think Randy's going to not ask for the ball regardless of the caliber of season he's having?

You don't remember VD crying about not getting the ball early in the season?

Anyways...I'm tired...I'll bow out...for the night
