you guys are in better position than most younger teams coming up, I am not sure what squad is supposed to mean. The expectations need to slow down a little, if they make the playoffs that will be impressive as hell even if they get swept.You really think Memphis would've traded their 2nd pick for 4th and Lonzo?
And we do have a squad, it's the coaching that makes us look bad, give this roster to a good coach and we would be in the top 8

Squad mean a talented group with potential, we lost too many close games because bad coaching. A competent coach would have this team at the 8th seed even without Zion

I know what it means, I was confused by his definition because Pelicans definitely have talented guys on the roster.
All those losses showed was how much a decent big means, the defense was night and day without Favors on the roster. Gentry has a lot of faults but I am not gonna blame him for having Okafor and Hayes as the backup options. Griffin didn't address this issue at all and has to fill that next year and get one more wing.

Bout 3 months too late at this pointKept him rotting on the bench all season long for absolutely nothing. NAW had probably the most swagger and confidence of any rookie in the class coming into the season... now that's been completely obliterated thanks to Gentry and the rest of the coaching staff. I feel for the dude; had good chemistry with Zion and the entire bench all pre season and summer league yet gets 1/100th the leniency and room to grow and make mistakes of anyone else on the roster now. Dude makes one bad decision that every starter and bench player makes 5+ of literally every game and he's banished to the bench for basically half a month at a time. shyt must be infuriating. He's already 21 years old too, team does not have the time to waffle around indecisively with him like this as if he's an 18 year old project player. If he wasn't up to whatever nebulous nonsensical standards Gentry placed on him then they should've sent him down immediately. Keeping him with the team just to humiliate him every time he makes a rookie mistake and bottom out his confidence helps no one

That roster is elite compared to the roster we had when he asked for a trade. I remember being at media day and didn't know half the roster. We really had nikkas like Squeaky Johnson (respect the young bull for making it to the league) as a guy who was going to be a significant player on a team led by a prime CP3. Got damn did our FO suck lol. Ultimately did the same with AD but we never had a roster with him as dire as the one we were going to have in 2012 with CP3 before he said GMTFOH
