We got a bunch of young dudes. The only thing I'd change would of been to bush the 4th and Lonzo for Morant.

You really think Memphis would've traded their 2nd pick for 4th and Lonzo?


And we do have a squad, it's the coaching that makes us look bad, give this roster to a good coach and we would be in the top 8

Bout 3 months too late at this point Kept him rotting on the bench all season long for absolutely nothing. NAW had probably the most swagger and confidence of any rookie in the class coming into the season... now that's been completely obliterated thanks to Gentry and the rest of the coaching staff. I feel for the dude; had good chemistry with Zion and the entire bench all pre season and summer league yet gets 1/100th the leniency and room to grow and make mistakes of anyone else on the roster now. Dude makes one bad decision that every starter and bench player makes 5+ of literally every game and he's banished to the bench for basically half a month at a time. shyt must be infuriating. He's already 21 years old too, team does not have the time to waffle around indecisively with him like this as if he's an 18 year old project player. If he wasn't up to whatever nebulous nonsensical standards Gentry placed on him then they should've sent him down immediately. Keeping him with the team just to humiliate him every time he makes a rookie mistake and bottom out his confidence helps no one

Yea that Zion-Melli lineup is something you do for only 15-20 mpg. That's why you need someone like Noel for the rest of the game. And they need to move Jrue and his contract for a big or wing if they can, Turner would be nice in that situation. Pels don't really have anything else to give up though.

Add to the fact that Indiana already has a logjam at the guard position and would have no use for Jrue.

Team will probably wait till after this summer's free agency when our unrestricted guys leave and open up some roster spots and then bring him home for either summer league or preseason. He'd be the best shooter of any guard on the roster right now so I definitely think he'll be here for next season; it's a cliche but Zion REALLY shines the most when his teammates space the floor for him to operate:



I think we're gonna see a hard pivot from the glutton of 6'4 combo guards who play hard but can't really shoot or playmake at a high level to shooting, shooting, and more shooting in the next couple of years starting this offseason . Small sample size or not the results are just too clear as to what works best for this team. Seeing Houston dominate with their all shooting no bigs gimmick lineup probably got

thirsty to go all in on that wave with Zion at the center himself

I love my day 1 Pelicans berethens but y’all gotta calm down a little

we in year one of our reload with our best player only in his 12th game and just put up a good fight vs a championship contending team that’s in win now mode with two top 3 players.

No need to panic or be rash yet. This year is about building and finding the pieces and habits of our potential core guys. 2022-2023 is when the pressure will be on.
