I don't know how many times that it has to be explained about how Sega of Japan (head branch) fukked over their American branch royally by having them make the 32X, that wasn't needed in general, while quietly work on the Saturn, until it was leaked out and it was too late to kill of the 32X. Those resources could've been put into the Saturn, so that way they wouldn't need to have 2 processors to help with 3D, but gotta be spiteful. And let's not talk about the Dreamcast's development.

I said this in the thread, but Xbox is more of an modern day Atari, not so much Sega. Sega, despite the constant infighting and bleeding money, they kept putting effort with the Saturn and the Dreamcast because they wanted to give the people what they wanted and come back to the platform, even if it kills them. Microsoft was to concern about Amazon, Apple and Google than to actually compete with Sony back in 2013. They got done up and threw the towel saying, "we'll get our lick back next gen."

Just for them to throw the towel again.
