I'm really getting tired of seeing black men using backwards logic to justify their lack of balls in the face of American society.

Like I'm about to lose all sense of decorum in public situations with black people who try to espouse the principle of cowardice as a means to "hopefully" bypass white supremacy i.e. "I don't let my son wear t-shirts outside the house or I don't want my nephew wearing dreadlocks."

So, if you see a light-skinned, bearded dude going Kanye West at the next Black middle class event, then that's probably me.

He's absolutely wrong...there isn't any way to angle this as him being right in any capacity

1. He equates dreadlocks with criminal behavior...cause all people with dreads are criminals..... and having a haircut means you're a good person.
2. He alleges that growing dreadlocks will somehow give his nephew criminal traits, and make him a target for the police
3. He assumes that his nephew does not possess any ability to maintain his composure in the face of adversity/ the police
4. He assumes that a haircut, will prevent his nephew from being targeted,profiled, or assumed to be anything negative.
5. He truly believes that doing you best to appease a system that does not value you, is the correct path to take as a black male.

it's not about being "presentable and respectable"... it's about this rhetoric of what whites feel is "presentable and respectable for blacks"
