Who are some of the LBs in the draft that we should be looking at? That's another thing I'm kinda worried about. If I remember correctly when our pass rush couldn't get home the linebackers and the down safety drifted back into some soft ass zone and just gave up everything underneath. When we had Mychal Kendricks it worked out okay because he had good coverage skills for the position and really good closing speed. With Hicks and Nigel that didn't work out too well because combined they don't have the same range as a Nigel/Kendricks tandem.

On the secondary
Am I wrong for thinking that Jalen Mills would be a good safety in our scheme and him switching roles would solve multiple problems. The biggest one being him no longer being on the outside.

I am no DC (if I was I shouldnt be up on the coli) but I have long argued that Mills should take over the Corey Graham role. All of Mills flaws would be negated if he played safety. Regarding LB, its clear this team doesnt value LB at all, there were times they only had Nigel on the field playing alot of dime defenses- safeties are more important in this defense than LB. I think they are rolling with Nigel and Kamu as the primary backers- and Malcolm plays a psuedo SS-hybrid backer. There is a better chance Philly drafts a safety than a LB.

I'm getting a funny feeling about our backer situation . Nigel is literally the only one that's bringin the wood. I remember watching zeke run through hicks with all that wrap up tackling and I knew it was time for a change. I kamu played alright but i would like to see a rookie come in with a splash.

Dont count on that, altho with Curry the eagles run defense just got better.
