Why the bears give up on him tho for a 2020 conditional pick.?

Eagles would still be wise to still draft a RB high tho

Defenitely agree they still need to grab someone in the draft, but I think now they can wait till atleast the 4th. Unless there's someone they really love in the first 2 rounds.

Still think they need to go with lineman on both sides and a safety in the first 2 rounds

I’d still like to see us get an RB who can catch out of the backfield as well, but Howard’s a huge upgrade over Smallwood and Adams. And he can pass protect, too, so at least him being in there doesn’t automatically signal to the defense whether it’s a run or a pass.

I’m loving almost all of Howie’s moves this offseason. They’ve put themselves in a position where they don’t need to reach for anyone in the draft. The Eagles have filled almost all of their needs in FA. Signing DeSean and Malik Jackson, Sendejo… Re-signing/extending JP, Kelce, Graham… trading for Howard. The only thing I didn’t love was letting Wisniewski walk, because O-Line depth is so important and you don't know when Brooks is coming back, but I’ll accept that Howie and the FO know more than me and I’ll trust them.

I dont see how Howard fits our system if he doesn't really fit Nagy system (and Howard isn't quite the bruising back Blount is) but he is better than what we got so
not a fan of the Rodgers deal- they should draft a late round TE to play ST with higher ceiling as a blocker in the run and pass game

how high tho? I think this move kills the idea of drafting a RB in the first round.- I still doubt Howie would do it anyway
I think they are gong to try and trade out the first round and get into the 3rd round

For me I can see them using one of the 2nd rounders on a RB. Howard I believe is on his last year of his rookie deal. Smallwood is meh and I like Adams, but how they just totally dropped him from the rotation. Wouldnt count on him.

The board would have to justify Jacobs at 25 and as much as they like him I'm not sure it could with a legit DL/OL prospect sitting there. Could easily see them going Singletary/Montgomery/Hill in the 2nd.

Especially when Howie just told the world he builds trenches first- I still think the first pick whether its 1st round or 2nd will be a DT or T/G prospect

If the Eagles are planning on drafting an RB at all in the draft, I don’t think it’s coming in Rounds 1-2. Certainly not Round 1. You still need someone to replace Jason Peters after he leaves/if he gets hurt again, there’s plenty of top level D-Line talent available, and the Eagles haven’t taken an RB in Round 1 in something like 30 years. They go O-Line or D-Line in the first round, maybe a Safety if someone like Adderley is available and there's no other option, almost definitely. But not RB. They don't value the position that much.

I forgot about Devine Ogzibo- he is actually my RB3 (he is slept on heavy) I actually wouldn't be mad if our backfield is Howard +Jacob / Devine / Sander + Clement (although Corey aint automatic either) and 2020 RB class is bananas- gotta come away with someone in that class to
