Brown makes way more sense than the trade rumors people kept trying to conjure up. He should be solid as that 2 down thumper next to Bradham, and allows Kamu be that 3rd LB he's more suited to be.

I’m sure Carson got paid a lot – at least $30 million (that's what they were reportedly looking at) – but I’m not too worried about the numbers, for two reasons:

1. The price for quarterbacks is only going to continue to go up, so the Eagles were going to be paying Carson a lot of money regardless. If they think Wentz is the franchise guy (and they clearly do), it’s better to get this done now because Dak and Goff are going to be demanding big money, too. He was only going to get more expensive.

2. The Eagles have Howie Roseman as their GM, and he’s proven time and again that he can make the cap work. They’ve been planning for this. I’m sure Carson is getting paid big, but I’m also sure that the Philly FO is well-prepared to deal with it and will still be able to surround him with talent in the future.

we all know his potential is that of a 30 mil per year QB... but lord knows one more injury and that contract will be looked at like all the other current terrible QB contracts in the league. I say this as a huge wentz fan who was looking at everybody crazy for talking about foles > wentz

the skill isnt in question for the $$$, its the durability
