Not long after the 1992 riots, there was Black flight and Asian flight. Mexicans and Hispanics filled up the spot.
The percentage of non-Hispanic Black people in LA County back then was roughly 14%. Today it's roughly 9%. It's almost half.
Compton went from being 65% non-Hispanic Black in 1970 to being roughly 25% in 2020.
Ayatollah Marv has spoken about this too. There's not going to be many Black people left in Compton in a few decades.
And those dudes are certified gang members. And they'll tell you Kendrick was on some shyt back in the day. Don't want to play with shyt like that, it's not worth it especially when you gotta do business in LA.
These dudes out here regularly showing Carti and other rappers plus Kai Cenat just magically showing up in Compton to give back to the kids and shyt. You know what that shyt about lol.
Crossing out murals from rival hoods is to be expected in California. There's never going to be a race riot or race war over that alone. Prison politics alone ensures that folks on the street don't cross certain lines. There's hoods in SoCal that are in race wars, but never a whole city or a whole ethnic group or a whole prison car (except the Sureno greenlight against non-Sureno Asian gangs and inmates in the 90s).
OGs are going to stay away from that to keep the peace in prison. The straddlers and civilians who riot and get arrested will more than likely end up stabbed up in county jail and prison.
