OP you realize inflation and high oil prices are happening all over the world right?
If you must blame one specific entity it would be the Covid shut downs and the conflict in Ukraine.
Sorry, but umm Covid nor Putin are people running in 2024 US election where you could not vote for them and show them that you are upset about inflation and oil prices...

Without considering what's happening long term. Most of you don't care about how you leave this planet to your children.
We have been trying to plan for a day where oil isn't as easily accessible and are stopped by rethug oil industry shills at every corner for decades. Conservatives are going to argue on behalf of oil until there isn't a drop left, and they will always get the low hanging fruit to buy in on it because who doesn't like more gas lower prices.
But it's a long con really. Sometimes to really move forward there is a hard transition but some people are too slow to see the forest for the trees.
What is the solution exactly? Get in bed with Russia so billy blue collar doesn't have to fill up is over sized f350 at twice the cost?
Yea this might not have happened under Trump, but at what cost? Getting in bed with a fascist for more comfort?

Eh, thats because of the commodities market. Its not like he was at the table and let us know the price of the brick will go up. Like a breh mentioned, Bush getting into Iraq caused oil to spike, thereby gas prices to rise, though the stock of oil literally had not had a chance to change.

Why else would he be begging Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela to increase oil production? Which in turn will lower gas prices.

Because due to how oil futures and commodities work, whether or not we are actually running out of oil does not matter. The only way to ensure the markets are not pumping up the price is to increase production. Yes the presidents actions cause a reaction in the markets what he does not dictate it in that he would be the one setting it. Last year oil fell into the negatives in spite of Trump and not because of him. Yes we can , they have regulators like the public utilities commission (,puc) which keeps giving these water , electric , internet & media companies every increase they ask for . They have more cops on bikes writing traffic tickets , cops are seizing people's property , they can easily subsidize the cost of petro & remove all the sanctions on Venezuela & Iran
