Ray had succcess before this past season though. Heaney's only had an ERA under 4.00 once and that was a season in which he had just 18 starts. He's never been good while Ray has been up and down.

But Ray was never as good as he was in 2021 and thats likely why the Jays are gonna drag there feet on meeting his price...

Boras is the wrong spokesperson for tanking since,


a) Atlanta had every right to be one of those tanking teams after Acuna got hurt but they didn't. They chose to compete and won a close NL East and got hot at the right time.

b) Boras made a living off noncompetitive teams (or at least teams he knew who were broke) giving players away to the Yankees or Red Sox or whoever.

Lets be reality here Braves only in the playoffs because they are in the shyttiest division in baseball...We have seen lower seeded teams win WS in baseball many times,its ther nature of the game but it has nothing to do with tanking and everything to do with them being in the NL Least.

Lindor robbed of the Gold Glove solely because he was hurt for six weeks.

That's not true. His 2017 was very similar.

Someone's gonna pay him because Gerrit Cole was up and down until he got to Houston.

Tigers traded Ray for Shane Greene in 2015.
