These Field of dreams games should always be between two winning teams. I would have choose Dodgers - Mets due to all the star power (well for baseball standards at least) both teams have.

Lindor isnt Heyward
The big contracts never actually meet "full value" except for a few rare cases but Lindor has played well at it hasn't prevented the Mets from spending more to make the team better around him. I'm not a big analytics guy but some of those numbers have him as a top shortstop this year so hes providing the value the Mets asked for. I feel like the first 3-4 years of those contracts is when they expect the production they paid for. After that you hope they dont fall off too bad.
I just think a guy like Lindor is worth it when you're trying to take your team to the next level. He wasnt going to do it alone but hes a durable player who plays good defense with above average offense at a premium positions. Add in hes very popular with fans which counts for the fanbase and front office
