For me the problem with baseball and being a Dodgers fan

1. Waiting 3 to 4 years on a prospect your team drafted to come up in the majors and say if he struggle 3 to 5 games they send him back down for awhile again

2. Too much inter league play.. I was so use of playing the giants 19 games out the season , now it’s like 11 games… you can have say every year one inter league series that regions will like.. dodgers vs Yankees,, Mets vs Red Sox,,,

3. They really need to focus on tv rights.. weekends during the summer u should have 1 afternoon game and 1 night game on major tv… I see fukking more nascar and golf on tv than baseball

Thats the shyt that bother me.
They got that early Sunday game which is perfect time cause aint shyt on Sunday afternoon but they were dumb asses and let NBC put it on Peacock:francis:
I know they try not to take games away from the regional broadcasters but damn they need to have some early weekend games on natl

What's crazy--again, I'm a casual and mostly follow on social media and the video game--Rodriguez got a low ass card and low stats because he is a rookie and, in real life, dude is gettin MAD love.

I just found out he was a rookie.

Yea he may get a low DD card from out the box b
ut now that he's Hot as well as his Team, they'll Level it Up a lot more on an Update if they haven't done it already and he'll get the attention...might even make them Run a Franchise wit The M's now to Player Lock him

He definitely has---he's GOLD, now

I'm just surprised how he "blew up"

WHich goes against the idea "the MLB does not market it's players, right"

1. way to show your baseball knowledge

2. Juan Soto is younger than most of the guys who were in this year's futures game. Oneil Cruz on the Pirates came up and initially was wowing baseball fans with his size and potential and he's 3 weeks older than Soto. Sports talk guys see an elite player and do what they do, but players like Soto don't become available with the resume he already has. This would be like the Nats making Harper available in trade talks the year after he won MVP.

The biggest reason why the Yankees will likely not get Soto is because acquiring him all but guarantees Judge leaves since they will not pay for both and they're not gutting the system for a rental. I love the Martian and wouldn't trade him for almost any player in baseball. Soto's one of them though.
Nah its not that I think he’s bad I know he’s great but his stats are not Barry bonds in his prime like they making it out

they already plan on more interleague play for 2023 & beyond by cutting divisional games

I dont really see any issues with it, look at the AL East beating each other up this season, its not really a fair & balanced schedule. It gets each team to play each other every season too which should allow the MLB to promote their players & matchups better

the Blue Jays played 52% of their games last season against 90 win teams - and that doesnt include 6 games against the World Series Champ Braves (88 wins). Jays won 91 games and MISSED the playoffs, even playing a schedule that difficult. It just aint balanced

Compare 4th/5th year Bonds to 4th/5th year Soto then comeback to us.
i get it hes young but theres been people with his numbers at his age that didnt become even the best player in the league. just the way theyre so sure of themselves that this guy is already Ruth and becoming Bonds for sure , its overkill

Edit I made a typo. That's 22 year old Soto vs 21 year old Hall of Famers.

Last year at 21, Soto had a ops+ of 177 and went .313/.465/.534

Griffey at 21 155 and went .327/.399/.527

Bonds at 21 103 and went .223/.330/.416

Pujols at "21" 157 and went .329/.403/.610

Let's not act like Soto isn't good and doesn't have HOF potential.

Nah you keep bringing up Bonds, so go look at em side by side and tell me which one is more impressive and, not knowing the future which one you'd be more likely to sell the farm for.
Dude is a top of his generation player. This is the reaction they get when they're on the market

Soto is a hitting savant. If he doesn't get seriously injured, he's gonna be a Hall of Famer. Him and Alvarez are easily the two most gifted hitters of the younger generation.

So let's talk seriously. Is this the year the Astros take it all again?

I mean the NL had been out thorn these past few years. Are we gonna choke again the world series or are we gonna finally bring it back?
