:comeon: Looks like you been reading too much what racist cacs on OB have to say. All of the OCs that Charlie interviewed or was rumored to being interviewing back in January/February 2014 were big names that had folks excited. Like you said, he fukked up by sticking with his man Watson instead of hiring 1 of the OCs he interviewed..

I'm not worried about him hiring a good OC.

why are you bringing in retarded/racist Texas fans in this convo for? I don't even have my OB account anymore. All my opinions are formed from my own observations.

Why do you have so much faith in Charlie? Couple of games could/should have been won but fukked up time management, terrible game plan and random fukkkery cost them. Same old shyt in a lot of games.

At this point its whatever, but I don't believe in firing Charlie because that would set Texas back more than ever

The folks on paysites like IT & Horns247 have already said in past weeks that the AD/boosters will be helping Charlie with the OC search, if you're really that worried about him making the wrong OC choice.

The issues with questionable gameplans would be fixed with an established OC/Playcaller.

:francis: Than again, UT fans complained about Bryan Harsin when he was the OC back in 2011-2012 and now they cyse & appreciate him ever since he went back to Boise St. Bi-polar fans.

:patrice: The 1 thing I don't like about Oregon's spread option offense is despite the fact all the points & yards they done put up all of these years, they are a finesse rushing offense. While Urban Meyer/Dan Mullen/Tom Herman & Gus Malzahn/Chad Morris's spread option offenses are more physical rushing offenses. We saw it in the national title game earlier this year

:ehh: But than again, Oregon's offense at Texas (to go with Charlie's defense) would scare the rest of the conference, would be HUGE CFB news, & would be huge for recruiting momentum. So I would have to co-sign the move.

Have you guys completely washed your hands of Applewhite? Sounds like the perfect fit aside from... you know. Kinda wild how Major gets no credit for Greg Ward.

Whenever folks bring up Major Applewhite on a UT forum as a possible OC candidate, it gets shot down because everyone looks at it as Tom Herman's offense. Not to mention the scandal that Major had a couple years ago having an affair with a student trainer.

Does he call the plays for for U of H? If yes and he's capable of & comfortable running that Urban Meyer/Tom Herman offense on his own, I'd be fine with Charlie hiring him as OC. But I don't think he'd be a sexy enough name, seeing he has only been the OC for 1 season under Herman.

The difference between Watson and Norvell was like night and day. I would assume we see another jump similar to that once we get a real OC in place.

Also there was nothing wrong with the approach today and I thought Heard had a decent game besides the 2 ints. He made some throws I was happy to see him make for the 2nd week in a row.

Turnovers and penalties is what did us in today.

Yep, it's unfair to Norvell that he didn't get an entire offseason/Spring/Fall camp as the OC. He makes adjustments to the offense I never saw Watson do last year. But Charlie can't afford to make Norvell the OC, he gotta bring an established OC/Playcaller that's gonna get folks excited & off his back.

Regardless of ranking its going to be a good class and will supplement the previous class really nicely. The biggest question is will Charlie last long enough for these 2 classes to pay off for him. He needs another 2-3 years. He'll need at least 8 wins next year, some improvement will have to be shown.

Strong has a top 10 recruiting class coming in. No way they fire him. If anything norvell goes back to wr coach and they bring in a new offensive coordinator.

Is this true? I thought people were byttchhing about our class currently being ranked in the 50s.

It's in the 50's because we only got 11 commits currently. Our class is Top 10 if you look at Average star ranking.
