@Bigwhite2498 @dtownreppin214 @gtj1982 and others. How would y'all handle exit interviews for the RB room.

Blue- Was 100% set on entering the draft prior to the season. Not sure he is draftable though. RBs are deep this year and he doesn't stand out, his best trait is as a WR out the back field, but he can't hold on to the ball. Do you try and retain him(NIL cost), or do you push him out the door?

Wisner- basically our feature back late in the season. Tough runner, but not a burner and isn't a good receiver out the back field.

Baxter- tore his ACL and I think LCL. Probably won't be able to participate until Summer, and it'll probably be another year before he is 100% back.

Gibson- another one that can't hold on to the ball, still growing as a pass protector, but can run between the tackles.

Clark- tore his Achilles, probably 2 years away from being back at full speed as well.

2 freshman- Simon and Stewart, both I assume headed for redshirts unless injury thrust them into playing.

Throw out the door

Have these two spilt carries probably giving Baxter more because I actually think he’ll be back 100% by fall camp.
Gibson- another one that can't hold on to the ball, still growing as a pass protector, but can run between the tackles.
I’ll try to give him more carries probably be my third back
Clark- tore his Achilles, probably 2 years away from being back at full speed as well.
Just get him accustomed to the college speed and save him because as you said he’s probably a year away.
2 freshman- Simon and Stewart, both I assume headed for redshirts unless injury thrust them into playing.
Redshirt these two ofc and go get probably another guy out of the portal maybe 2 guys tbh

What makes this situation complex are the injuries. Baxter will likely be healed by Fall camp but still probably another year away from being back to top form. Also consider the dude stays hurt. If Wisner was to go down we'd be dependent on an oft injured Baxter and Gibson. Not sure how you attract a RB from the portal let alone 2 without being able to promise 1st team reps.

I think Blue should definitely return to school, just not sure it should be here. He just hasn't progressed in his tenure here. But also think he is the most explosive back we have, and there should be a place for him in the offense next year. He has to increase his value by playing STs though. I'd be inclined to sorry allow him back as long as it's not at a high cost. We need the depth.

Wisner- no doubt you retain him.

Baxter- honestly not are how much he can be counted on.

Gibson- retain but he needs to work on holding on to the ball. He could possibly be RB2 for the majority of next year.

Clark- retain and continue working on getting back up to speed.

Stewart and Simon are redshirted.

I think we’ll be able to get some guys because these rbs don’t wanna get too many carries on their bodies kinda how bama had all those rbs at one time. I do agree Baxter is injured a lot but I think it’s more of a Jordan Whittington thing where he gotta grow into his body. Gibson fumbling problem is probably fixable because I think it happens when fighting for extra yards and is just kinda an experience issue unlike blue who just can’t hold that mf. Speaking of blue I agree that he’s not developing I would like to see him out at wr maybe if he did come back that’s probably more of his thing cause he falls too easily from contact to be an RB. Btw even last year from his short time playing I thought wisner could be this good that’s why even earlier in the season I was saying he needs to get all the carries he’s one of those guys that gets better with the more carries you give him. Also wisner is well put together idk if he would actually get injured he’s kinda compact like Jaamal charles.

Blue-let him transfer

Wisner-run with the 1s in the spring

Baxter and Clark-don’t rush them back

Gibson-into spring as the primary back up. When he wasn’t fumbling he was a guaranteed 6 YPC.

Of the two freshman Simon has the size and pedigree (dad was RB in NFL and a college coach) to compete for early playing time.

Reevaluate Baxter and Clark in fall and see if we need to bring in a transfer for depth.

Breh. :blessed: I didn’t even watch because I figured no way he would leave Georgia. Let’s see them hate on Kenny Baker now. He has deep Georgia HS ties. Hopefully this is just the beginning. Between Baker attacking Georgia and Choice opening up Florida and Joseph in Lousina our recruiting will go nuclear.

My approach to Blue would depend on who is available in the portal. I would welcome he back but I wouldn't play the NIL game with him.

I've been saying we need to prioritize a back in the portal. Need a healthy run game to help Arch in his first season starting.

We went from dreaming about Zion Williams a couple of years ago to getting Justus Terry.

Speaking of Zion, what happened to his ranking. He was #1 in the state, now 247 has him #94 in Texas.

He was overrated early on. So is DJ Sanders IMO.

Getting Justus was a pleasant surprise. We definitely let our NIL nuts hang on that one.
