For all the love Bo Davis gets, dude didn't exactly leave the cupboard full. January looks like he'll be a stud. Gotta hope Bryant, Bledsoe, and Mitchell are late bloomers. Hills is probably another year away from contributing. Everyone else is out of eligibility.
Yep that’s why I’m happy with this new guy he seems to actually recruit and he’s developing these guys in ways that bo Davis didn’t

Sydir actually played meaningful downs yesterday and even got his name mentioned during the broadcast. I hope we jinxed dude in a good way

Ewers deep balls are still way off. He is just putting them all in the wrong spots. I think it's in his head at this point. With all the weapons this offense should be a lot more dynamic.

Now would be a great time of year to get the running game going. Just need to hold on to the ball.

The defense is elite. Where would y'all rank them against '09 and '05?

We always could run the ball sark just didn’t want to there’s a reason saban was forcing him to run he’s an air raid guy at heart. And stat wise this defense is one of the best in the last 25 years

The '24 offense is significantly more talented overall than the '09 offense (Remember the '08 team was a better team than the '09 team). Quinn not being able to consistently execute Sark's offensive vison & not living up to being the 1st round NFL draft talent he was expected to be is preventing the offense production-wise from being significantly better than the '09 team. Despite the '24 rushing offense being weak AF compared to Sark's previous years with Brooks & Bijan as the star RBs, I would say Tre Wisner is probably a better RB than what I remember from the '09 team RBs, but than again UT's '24 O-Line SHYTS on the '09 O-Line so maybe that's actually the difference. I definitely prefer Sark's offense, but surprisingly Ian Boyd says if he could choose to run ANY offense at UT he'd prefer Greg Davis spread offenses with Colt becuz he feels that the QBs had more freedom to be playmakers.

The '24 WRs are more talented than the '05 WRs.

EDIT:

LOL, I just realized you asked about comparing the defenses.

Cook had a bad actor in his camp that been in his ear all season. They let Cook walk. They'd let Sydir walk to if he actually went through with it.
In reference to the below tweet and rumors that some in the 2023 class are dissatisfied w/ their NIL deals, Bobby Burton on the stream this morning hinted at someone trying to poison the well. He didn't say who it was, but he made it seem like it was a former player. I think he was referring to Cook.

Our NIL guys normally do a good job making guys whole, and in conjunction with the coaching staff we aren't going to lose anyone we feel like we can't lose. But brehs need to tread carefully, T.Brooks found out the hard way.

Cook was a guy that got first team reps throughout the spring/fall, even got that Beats NIL deal, they treated dude like it was his time and he allowed himself to get out worked by others and passed up and now he is acting like a bytch about it. Good luck wherever he ends up.

Did Brooks leave b/c of NIL, lol? I thought he just wasn't cut for the starting job anymore and read the tea leaves.

He didn't want to compete for his position because he didn't feel like he should need to. His NIL wasn't where he wanted it to be or what he felt he deserved either. The staff collectively let him walk.
