Only way I can see Texas losing is if Quinn shyts the bed, but he balls out in big games. This team is also better than last years team. Plus OU sucks.

I can envision a scenario where they throw multiple blitz packages at us and give some of our interior oline guys issues. Also don't think Banks is playing as good as he did last year, so oline is going to be the key.

Wow really? I think he's just that good and we know what to expect that we overlook him. I only remember him giving up 1 sack this year. If we can establish the run we'll be alright. So far no one has an answer for the run game.

He is probably as good as he was last year but he should be better. Hasn't felt like he has been completely erasing his guy like he did most of the year last year. Christian Jones has been the best T and OL this year. Most of our successful runs happen on the right side for that reason.

That's becuz both Devon Campbell & Cole Hutson are way better run blockers than Hayden Conner. Conner is good at pass protection, but he's "above average" at best when it comes to run blocking. If Sark & Flood had recruited the '21 recruiting class for that entire cycle, I don't think Hayden Conner would've been a priority seeing as the O-Linemen they recruited in the '22- future UT recruiting classes are all good run blockers.

Also, I think we can all agree that Christian Jones is also a better run blocker than Banks.

Conner is big & soft. :smh: I'm surprised the Allen kid hasn't taken his spot.

@dtownreppin214 @Numpsay Did y'all see what closetojumping from the SurlyHorns forum said yesterday about what A&M has planned for recruiting?:

The outcome for the aggies this weekend is going to have an impact on them, Texas, LSU, OU, and numerous other players. Fisher decided that this game was going to be the event in which he pushed all of his chips on on recruiting, and it looks he and his team started building towards that after Texas beat Bama. He's rallied the money in support due to fear of their program being trapped in The Recruitocosm.

If Bama wins a close one, Fisher will treat it like a victory. That's already the way he's framing it to recruits. "Close game, could go either way, but we expect to win. We're going to punch Bama in the face and show them it's our house."

If ATM wins, they're going to cash in big on the trail.

If Bama beats ATM handily, Fisher's regime is in deep shyt. It gets ugly for ATM in recruiting if Bama takes the crowd out of the game early.

This has already happened twice and both times, it has paid off for Fisher.

They lost a close one to Clemson in 2018 and had a very big recruiting weekend. Fisher treated the loss like a victory and sold the future to recruits while eating Herman's lunch in-state with that class (2019), including getting a big commitment from 2020 5 star Demas (I don't give a shyt what happened in college, they signed the guy).

ATM also did this in 2021 when they beat Bama at home. They were on the brink of going backwards heading into that weekend and then leveraged the outcome and giant bags of cash into signing the 2022 class.

ATM is currently trying to do the same thing they did in 2021 by resetting the market on recruits. Don't kid yourselves, they're about to surge if they win or lose in a tight game. Here's hoping that Fisher's massive gambit flops.
