TCU has a senior laden team similar to Baylor of last year. Dykes will likely never have a season like this again. It's basically now or never. That isn't the situation Sark stepped into.

TCU’s season is an anomaly. In this era, if you recruit the right players from the transfer portal, and they have the right chemistry, you can have one great year. However, this does not automatically translate to sustainable success. There will be programs that suddenly come out of nowhere nationally and have a great year, and disappear the following year.

Look at Michigan State. They had a great year last year, but were under 500 this year. I honestly think a program like Tennessee will take a step back next as far as their record.

I remember when they did this with Tyler Owens. McDonald is ultimately a LB IMO so hopefully he doesn't waste years trying to play in the secondary.
