The defense is night and day from last year. Improved on tackling (outside of the end of the game lol), keeping to their assignments, getting to the quarterback, stopping the run to the point where they abandoned it. I don’t remember a Saban led team abandoning the run.

Gotta think recruits liked what they saw today too and the atmosphere looked great on TV. Better than 2008 Missouri.

@dtownreppin214 @Numpsay Watching some of the CFB & Texas H.S. football highlights from this weekend, we need Sark to recruit dual-threat QBs who are legit good pocket passers. The offenses with those QBs are the scariest offenses. We saw it today in the UT-Bama game. I'm surprised the coaches didn't use a QB spy to contain Bryce Young in the pocket in 4th quarter seeing as they used a QB spy last week against ULM.

If Quinn is gonna be out for awhile, it's interesting what the offense will look like with Hudson Card if his bum ankle isn't an issue.

Card isn't a legit threat in this situauton. He was a dual threat in HS but in college his calling was never going to be a legit dula theat unless there was a specfic scheme designed around him.. He was supposed to be a scheme passer that could burn you here and there on the run. That style of play in general doesn't work in the big 12 anymore. Without a scheme designed around him he gonna be food.

Watching the USC-Stanford highlights, I don't see why Hudson Card couldn't light it up in a Air Raid offense like Caleb Williams is. I could easily see Card transfer to TCU, Okie St., UH, SMU, or etc. & light it up.

They didn't spy because Bryce isn't really a dual threat QB, he only scrambles as a last resort, using a spy would have only taken away from the rest of the defensive game plan. We also do not necessarily need a dual threat to be successful either. I think we win that game going away with Ewers. Also Hudson Card it remains to be seen if Hudson Card can be the guy. Not sure why you think he could light it up anywhere at this point.
