I don't think they are making it up. I think they were purposefully being led bad info. In their lunchtime podcast, Anwar said they were being played.

IT/247 did not put their neck out there like Ketch did. They left a little gray area, Ketch said it was a done deal and "not even close".

Ketch also reported Neyor and Junior had minor injuries. So the L’s have been mounting.

I'm not just talking about the QB battle but in regards to the team as a whole. Their reports are widely inaccurate dating back to fall camp last year. I could essentially watch the practice videos from the official football Twitter account and put out the same type of content.

@Numpsay @dtownreppin214 @Spade @lightskin jermaine What do y'all think about Casey Cain? It looks like he's gonna be the starting X WR when UT has 3 (or more) WRs on the field. I didn't pay attention to the 2021 recruiting cycle much (other than QB) when it was going on because of the weird COVID year, so i don't know much about Casey Cain.

I imagine we'll be in 12 personnel more often than not with Worthy/Whittington at the WR spots. Also I wouldn't count out Milton being the next receiver up, but it would be a bonus if Cain is as good as being advertised. He would be more of a Neyor type of receiver.

Based on what Gerry Hamilton has said about Casey Cain the last 24 hours or so, looks like Casey is the guy:

Those 2 posts alone tells you all you need to know what GH thinks about Cain. With the injuries & suspension at WR, Marcus Washington would probably be the starting X WR at UT right now if he hadn't transferred.

Than GH put out an article today about the depth chart expectations for the 2022 & 2021 recruiting class players:

Just let me remind you that these recruiting guys aren't scouts. I'm just always weary when certain players start getting hype after the fact. He was getting reps before the Neyor injury and Hall suspension yet you didn't hear much about him in fact heard more about Red. Now all of a sudden it's all this.

Not the fastest or best route runner but he has good size and great hands. He'll be a redzone threat for sure.

@Numpsay Seeing how bad Casey Thompson played today for Nebraska against Northwestern & seeing how well Sam Ehlinger has played this NFL preseason... Are you now ready to concede that UT would've been better last season if Sark had convinced Sam to come back for 1 more season?

I just want to remind you Ehlinger routinely under threw Brennan Eagles. I'd imagine his lowlights with Worthy would be even worse than Casey's. But maybe Sam puts the team "on his back" and wins a few of the ones we lost last year. We also don't know that happens if Casey never injures his thumb.

In case y'all didn't watch the NEB-NW game, here's highlight clip of all Casey Thompson's plays to see how bad he played:
