Some smoke on the paid sites that David Cutcliffe might be coming on board in some capacity.
Arch Manning would be nice but the #BlackQBAgenda hasn't died in me. Who's supposed to be next C.J. Stroud/Bryce Young/Caleb Williams in the 2023 class?
We just recruited a black QB who I think many people are underrating.
I think the next QB breh in the '23 class is supposed to be the 5-star QB Malachi Nelson that was committed OU when Lincoln Riley was OU's Head Coach & is now committed to USC under Riley.
I finally watched his highlights earlier this week. He looks like the real deal & is perfect for Riley's offense.
MaxPreps National Football Editor Zack Poff takes a look at the Top 10 quarterbacks in the Class of 2023 according to 247Sports composite rankings as of Feb. 3, 2022. Newman's (LA) Arch Manning and Los Alamitos' (CA) Malachi Nelson headline the list of the best quarterbacks.
Only 1 QB from the state of Texas made this list. It's Denton Guyer QB Jackson Arnold who recently committed to OU. Is UT fucced if they don't land Manning?

He's perfect for OU's new offense. He'd also be be good fit for Sark's offense.Arnold impressed me in the championship game vs Westlake. OU got a good one.
I wonder about Arch and the level of competition he faces. I hope he's legit. I think 75% chance he's going to be a Longhorn. He's perfect for OU's new offense. He'd also be be good fit for Sark's offense.

Bruh.... I been meaning to ask folks on Shaggy & IT if I'm the only person unimpressed with the level competition Arch plays against. It's hard to call Manning a great, instead of just good, QB prospect with the weak competition he plays against. Watching Quinn Ewers & Cade Klubnik the last few seasons, we knew they were great QB prospects because they were playing against the best completion.I wonder about Arch and the level of competition he faces. Jackson Arnold is considered the best in-state QB in the 2023 class & watching Denton Guyer in the 2021 playoffs they ran a RPO-heavy spread offense. He'd fit fine in Sark's Bama offense seeing as he's already comfortable & excelled in running RPOs.I could be wrong, but I am not high on Arnold, and IMO a better fit for a Herman offense than Sark's. Reminds me a lot of Ehlinger honestly. Also if we would have offered and recruited early he would have been a longhorn, but we are in the Arch sweepstakes, but he committed early to OU for that reason.
I ain't ready to give up on Hudson Card yet after seeing him play well in the WVU game before he got hurt. I wanna see how this QB battle between Ewers & Card plays out.Cade might be another Hudson Card. Lets hope Ewers pans out, Sark's job basically depends on that. And the argument for Arch is basically he is a Manning and he has all the tools. But like you, I'd like to see it against better competition. People are acting like he is a sure thing though, and I just can't see how they feel that way based on the level of football he plays.
Nobody in the industry is going to go against the grain b/c of his last name.Bruh.... Arch is definitely gonna need a redshirt.I am also not super high on Arch either and would not be surprised if he has to wait his turn behind Maalik or transfers out after his RS freshman season when he doesn't win the job. His impact is more for recruiting purposes and possibly changing how the program is viewed nationally.
What level of Texas High School football would you say Arch Manning's competition is equal to? It's definitely below what you see in the 4A playoffs.Nobody in the industry is going to go against the grain b/c of his last name.

I agree that if Ewers is as special a talent that everyone claims he is, he theoretically should beat out Card. But Card will have the benefit of being a 3rd-year player & this being his 2nd year in Sark's offense, while this gonna be Ewers going through a D1 college Winter offseason S&C training/Spring Football/Summer workouts & he struggled picking up Ryan Day's offense at tOSU.This is a weak year across the state in recruiting. Arnold wouldn't have been top 5 last year. He is one QB recruit where I'm about him going to OU. And there won't be a QB battle if they make it look that way its a farce. Barring injury QE is QB1.
