Move Merrick to the '15 class and take another of any of the QBs we have offered so far. Preferably Wallace or Gaines.

I'm not hyped for this commitment. Texas can do better. I hope UT takes another QB in this class.
In a Weak QB year. I'm more excited for the in-state QBs for 2017.
true, but you win the state when you can. Buchele is a sure thing, IMO. Colt McCoy type kid. Pro athlete pedigree. Can't teach his intangibles. If no one else works out, he will give you an above average QB who may not be done growing.
Don't sleep on Merrick as an athlete. Very good athlete with good size. Nice basketball player. Tools to be elite, just raw.

I'm definitely not sleeping on Merrick. I honestly think Merrick has a higher upside than Buchele.

GOD DAMN!!!!! This nikka is INACCURATE AS fukk!!!!I'm not sure how anybody can be confident that Heard can legitimately beat out Swoopes.

Have you read the various practice reports during this past season? Heard is still inaccurate AF. Heard is so inaccurate that during the practices heading into the TCU game they used Heard as the Scout team QB to simulate Trevone Boykin as a runner, but they had to use a 1 of the walk-on QBs to simulate Trevone Boykin as a passer.
Jerrod Heard was the 3rd-string QB for the west team at the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl because he was inaccurate AF during the practices during the week.
Everybody who went to open UT practice last August, pretty much agrees that Heard was the most inaccurate of all the Scholarship or Walk-on QBs during the passing drills.
Heard needs all the time he can get with cousin QB guru/coach George Whitfield in the off-season
