Spring game will tell us a lot. I take the practice reports with a grain of salt.
Heard is so inaccurate that during the practices heading into the TCU game they used Heard as the Scout team QB to simulate Trevone Boykin as a runner, but they had to use a 1 of the walk-on QBs to simulate Trevone Boykin as a passer.
there is actually a short clip of Heard doing some standard drill I've seen other colleges do, and he completely missed the net
here at :25 seconds
more time and a new scheme you can bring out the best of Heard....
dude is a freshman who is best in a spread option... give it time
the thought of watching another season of swoopes makes me want to off myself.
@satam55 did you follow heard in high school? the reason I ask is b/c you seem very emotionally detached from him. most of us that saw him and remember all the hype are having a hard time coping with all this negativity around him since he arrived on campus.
what was he throwing it too famhe wasn't throwing to the net tho, but i'm respecting y'alls evaluation of the homie heard.
makes sense now. ut fans were watching in awe during his entire playoff run. especially the championship game when he was running all over the field.I tuned out Football in 2013 after the Spring Game because I was & about Mack Brown returning as Head Coach which meant the 2013 season was going to be Lame-duck status. So I wasn't paying attention to the 2014 recruiting cycle or Jerrod Heard's senior year.
I did watch watch highlights during his junior year in 2012 & always felt . I just saw a 1-read, run-1st dual-threat QB running around in his highlights.
So I've never been emotionally attached to Heard like most UT fans are on the various UT forums are & I'm objective about him.
P.S. Who were the top QB prospects in-state for the 2014 class beside Heard?? I literally have NO IDEA because Heard committed so early.
Mack Brown was always mediocre as fukk,as far as Texas standards he just perfected giving bj's to boosters. He had a monopoly on all the talent instatemakes sense now. ut fans were watching in awe during his entire playoff run. especially the championship game when he was running all over the field.
that state was so loaded that year but he was the only qb worth a damn in state that year. we missed on so many players that year smh....garrett, tony brown, springs, cannon, thomas....very good year in texas ruined by the mack timing.
bruh, you really gonna make me analyze this video........watch #16's shadow. watson directs heard, then steps out of the way. just then, #16 stepped over and caught the pass. maybe, i'm wrong about this video, i just find it hard to believe this fool can't complete a simple pass to a stationary net sitting directly in front of him.
he should take patterson's job then. patterson can't fundraise. he's a good manager but he's not a smoozer like deloss/mack.Mack Brown was always mediocre as fukk,as far as Texas standards he just perfected giving bj's to boosters. He had a monopoly on all the talent instate
