I was talking to a Houston insider today and he relayed tons of interesting information that I'll mostly use in the Scoop tomorrow.

One thing he said was, "I know Herman well and there's nothing he's going to say that's new to me today. He'll come in glad-handing and talking about getting to work and all that, but he's nothing like Strong. Strong would call you by your name and joke with you, but Herman's nothing like that, though he'll appear like he is. He can't stand you guys in the media."

I responded, "neither can I. I don't understand how they can be so patient with all the stupid questions they get."

He replied, "He isn't patient, those guys at [redacted] are going to be eaten alive after they start asking crazy questions. Herman could not be any more different than Strong, and that goes for everything."

I took that to be both good and bad and I'll go into much greater depth tomorrow.

IT now reporting that Applewhite is out and that OC will be from left field

Higs on the coaching hires seems to be right so far

New update from Nahlin on OC/Applewhite:
As y'all may have seen I reversed course on my prediction for Applewhite as OC. I'm getting conflicting information. I think Applewhite is definitely in play still but I'm not sure.

I'll go into better detail when I can.
