Like dikk Gregory says, sometimes death is better. I'd rather die than know that I have to:
- send my wife to work for some family that pays her pittance all the while socially and potentially sexually degrading her....talk about "sharing that girl"
- look my wife in the eye knowing that I can't or won't do anything to protect her for fear of losing wage or life
- see my wife every few Sundays for a few hours because she has to get back to wonder or "Madam" will have a problem
I would've been dead, but I would've taken some people with me.....with a smile on my dead face....and dignity in my chest.
