sam l jackson as nick fury was decent

but a black lex luthor come on

i understand using the black green lantern for diversity, and then kalduron etc in young justice but come on breh

this is worse than the black spiderman ish

Agreed. Iconic characters should not be changed. Lex Luthor is the 2nd most iconic villain in the DC Universe.

What racism? A black man being a villain is not a threat to them. What's a threat is changing batman into a blackman. White boys ain't worried about no lex luthor.

nikka, they were up in arms when Michael Clarke Duncan played Kingpin. The Kingpin. Yeah, white boys do give a fukk about Lex Luthor. I see nothing wrong with a nuanced, genius, villain like Luthor played by a black man. This is a guy that has constantly been a problem for whitebread, overpowered Superman. So what he's the villain? Luthor is a more interesting character than Supes anyway. Y'all tripping. GTFOH :camby:

why can't these idiots just stick to the source material..if the character is black, make him black,if he's white make him white
im puerto rican and I don't want to see a latino flash:damn:

Actually I like the idea of a Latino Flash.

A Black Lex Luthor can add a complicated dimension to the character and make him a great foil to Superman. Almost like a Stringer Bell type, a dude who came from nothing and built an empire.

This is why we lose....

You'll never see Jews complaining about the Wonder Woman casting...but niccas are more loyal to dorky comic books than their own fukking race.

Lol yea i notice this too but damn :dead:

While i definitely see the need and push for it, when it comes down to it I could really give a fuk about 'diversity'.. at the end of the day I'm black and i'm tryna see black people shine. Its a 'black' thing for me, not a 'diversity' thing.

In other words, give me a quality JLA movie with John Stewart and Cyborg making up 2 of the 7 slots and Denzel as the masterminding Lex and i'm :dj2: LOL!

but if in that same nevergonnahappen hypothetical (b/c 3 blacks is 2.5 too many breh), they wanted to make wonder woman a jew or flash a white hispanic or add another female on the team (like they did with hawkgirl for aquaman in jlu).. i dont give a fukk. its a stupid comic book created in a time period where cac males were cacin it up with no fukks given towards non-whites. So if they want to re-imagine these characters in 2014 to make them more appealing to a larger global audience :yeshrug: but i'm just payin to support the black folks either way.. otherwise i'd just download the shyt or skip it all together if its trash

Nick Fury is Director of SHIELD, how is he not iconic? You're okay with him but not Lex?

As for 'Black' Spider-Man, Miles Morales is Black/Hispanic and the reason why he is Spider-Man not because he all of a sudden became Black. Peter Parker died and Morales had a similar origin story.

who outside of comic book readers knew who nick fury was before iron man dropped?

no one that is nick fury was not in the same range as spiderman, batman and superman (also wonderwoman but she is up there because she is the only popular female hero not tied to a male counterpart).

Meh, you're right.

However, the ethnicity of the actor shouldn't matter as long as it be pulled off believably. I picked up those Ult. Spider-Man books and it was like I was reading something new, who knew that equal representation makes a difference.
