The biggest winner in all of this is Lamar Jackson. Breh contract is gone be crazy.

You would think, but dude doesn't have an agent, he should've been in contract talks.:mindblown:

Rumor is the team doesn't want to engage in contract talk revolving around his flaws. That's what having an agent is for, so shyt don't get personal.

Did they have to give him a new contract :dwillhuh:
Not hating cause both sides got what they wanted, but that's a lot of assets to give up in addition to using up a ton of cap space on his new deal

Mans under contract to another team, decides on the team he wants to be traded to - and then negotiates a contract with that team, all before the trade even happens and while he's still under contract? :dahell:

yea kind of confusing.
my assumption is since guaranteed money is paid up front and spread over the amount of years of the contract length, the texans already paid that as a sunk cost. So the Browns would only be paying the difference in guaranteed cap hit and remaining salary, so it's no guarantee money when they get him so they can restructure the contract and add buco guaranteed money basically making a new contract :lupe:
