didn't see it. was it really good?
Not too sure about that. No Best Picture nominee has won without a best director nomination since Driving Miss Daisy. And of those that have been nominated, only two have won Best Picture without winning Best Director. Best Picture and Best Director almost always go hand in hand. That's why it's such a shock that Affleck and Bigelow weren't nominated. It almost certainly removes Argo and Zero Dark Thirty from Best Picture contention.Argo might get best picture.

Ang Lee won for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Spielberg for Schindler's List.your right. I will have to change it to Lincoln or life of pi does Ang lee have a oscar already?
I also see the oscars threw in Django so they could get the young people to watch. That movie was good but not best picture good.

nikka please. If Argo doesn't win best picture, than Django Unchained deserves it.
Maybe....just maybe..... it got the nod because they though it was best picture material. like you know what their intentions were.
:ANYWORD:
Funny this thread doesn't mention the biggest upset, The Intouchables didn't get the nom for best foreign language films. Bookmakers had it and Amour as fav. and didn't even get a nom,
yeah django deserves that best picture nomination for sure
does my man denzel have a shot at winning for best actor?
